/ First Person Protagonist POV /
I waited for Kylo, or medical droids, maybe both, to come into the holding cells. Even if I wanted Kylo to be there when the medics take me to the hospital wing, and for him to hold my hand, tell me everything would be ok as the droids fixed my stitches, I knew it would be impossible. I leaned my head back against the wall of the cell and started humming the same song again, trying to get rid of the grin I had on my face, the smile I always had when Kylo was around.
I lifted the bottom of my shirt to take another look at my wound, and it was not a pretty sight. " What the-" I muttered to myself. The wound was most definitely infected by the clothing I had used to apply pressure on it. I winced in pain as I took off the blood stained cloth from the cut, exposing it to the cold of The Finalizer. Dammit, that hurts. I lamented as I breathed heavily, but being careful not to rip more stitches.
The big doors of the holding cells opened, and two white medical droids appeared, but there was no sight of Kylo. Why am I even surprised? I sighted as the second droid picked me up and opened a floating flat medical bed. It's... surprisingly comfortable, I mentioned to myself as the droids tied me by the limbs to the floating bed. " Hey! What are you doing?!" I exclaimed loudly as I tried to sit up, but the straps restrained me from doing so, and I was worried for my wound. The droids didn't answer, they were probably programmed to remain quiet, and they headed towards the door, one guiding the floating bed while the other remained behind it.
They glided through the corridors, and I couldn't really see where we were heading, except I already knew. This must be awkward to witness, I thought embarrassed. I pictured in my head how bizarre it would look for passing by generals and stormtroopers to see me, the girl that escaped the Final Order, strapped to a floating bed, wondering around the corridors. Bloody hell. This is fantastic. I lamented sarcastically as I rolled my eyes.
Two pilots walked past us, and I could see they eyed the scene as they walked by. I closed my eyes, and tried to pretend I was unconscious: it was REALLY embarrassing. At least Kylo is not here to witness me stuck to a little floating medical bed. I relieved as the droids entered in a very bright room it hurt my eyes even if they were closed. Must be the hospital wing, I told myself , remembering that also Mando's infirmary was very shiny.
I felt the straps loosen from my limbs and I quickly shot up, wrong move. I felt an agonizing pain in my abdomen once again. I yelled, and this time, I heard the horrendous and untuned sound of my voice. " Ma'am. Please lay down. We will begin the anesthetic process." Came the robotic voice of the medical droid. I did as it said. I knew how well and advanced the medical aid was on The Finalizer, I had underwent it when Kylo had... thrown me across the room...
The droid placed a breathing apparatus on my face, and I could hear the anesthesia gassing its way through the tube, and into my lungs. I felt my body slowly drift to sleep, but my mind kept rushing in all different directions, even if I was forcing it to shut down for a couple minutes. My vision became blurry as I kept my eyes open, but my eyelids became heavier. There was a dark silhouette that appeared in the room, but I couldn't make out who it was.
Kylo?.. I spoke, but it was a thought, and before I knew it, everything went blank.
/ Time skip /
My head started to hurt a little bit and I began feeling my eyelids lighten. I craved to see something, anything really. I could slowly begin feeling my limbs. " My head..." I muttered illegibly as I yawned at the same time.
I looked towards each of my sides, and sitting next to my hospital bed on my right was Kylo. He was holding my hand in both of his, and his face lit up when he saw me awake. " Good evening, y/n." Kylo whispered in a soothing tone. I smiled at him and rubbed my eyes with the palms of my hands. " Hi." I muttered.
" You've been out for a couple hours, even if the stitches took a couple minutes." Kylo mentioned as he brushed a strand of my hair from my face. " What can I say? I'm a sleepy person." I joked, in hopes to hear his laughter, but it never came. " You had me worried..." Kylo whispered as he slightly kissed the top of my hand. I blushed a little. " You shouldn't doubt your medical aid, Kylo. It's truly impressive." I answered.
" I don't. But your wound was infected. I was... afraid it might have caused some type of failure." Kylo said, pausing between his words. " That bastard Djarggi is lucky he's dead. He wouldn't have liked what would have awaited him for doing this to you." He muttered. " Yeah..." I whispered, I still wasn't in complete acceptation of what had happened with Djarggi. It scared me a little to think I had been the cause of his death, but I knew if he wasn't dead, Kylo would have ended him in the most gruesome way possible. To think about it sickened me.
" By the way, what happened to that scum?" Kylo asked freely. My eyes widened. I intended to tell Kylo I had been the cause for Djarggi's death, but not now. I couldn't bring myself to think about it, the thought haunted me still. " Y/n, are you alright?" Kylo asked me, and I noticed his gloved hand was on my cheek.
I nodded slightly and looked away. " Yes..." I whispered. " The thing is... I killed him. I killed Givu Djarggi."
