Warning: Blood!

{+}{+}{+}

The air was frigid and temperatures kept rapidly dropping as the night continued. Not one star could be seen on the dark canvas above the city. Cars were heard cruising down Paris's streets to return home from late errands or jobs. Yet, he didn't care. It didn't matter.

   Chat Noir knew he was done for but didn't stop his endless jumping from roof to roof. He just knew to run and get far away as possible. Far away from the place that used to his home, and the man that he once called his father.

Agreste mansion was nothing but an empty shell. A mirror reflection of what was once happiness has shattered and changed for the worst. Yet, worse could not possibly describe how horrible his train-wreck of life came to be a reality.

Adrien's home was a lair for the most wanted criminal in Paris, who was his own flesh and blood. The man that he wanted to make proud and seek affection from over the years. The fashion designer who created masterpieces with merely his fingers.

His father was Hawkmoth.

Adrien wanted to scream and shout at the top of his lungs. Why things have to be the way they were? Why his life was so empty? Why he ever tried to make that man proud of him? Why does he dare to call—utter—the title of father to such an unworthy male?

The blonde stopped on a roof and grunted, hand holding his side in pain. Chat's teeth clenched and lungs heaved for air. The teen removed his hand from his side to investigate the wound. Bloodstained his gloved hand and the side of the suit as it gushed from his injury.

Chat figured that his wound would need stitches but nothing could mend the memory for what it held. Betrayal, guilt, and agonizingly hurt.

   After discovering Gabriel Agreste's secret identity and him figuring out his son's double life, the villain somehow convinced Adrien to join him. At first, Adrien declined the offer, transformed into Chat Noir and fought his father until Hawkmoth was able to poke at a weak point. His mother, who had disappeared ages ago without a clue or hint as to where she could be.

   It turns out, Emilie Agreste has been asleep in a pod-like casket within secret sanctuary over the years. The worst part about the situation, the sanctuary was hidden within his home. All this time of wondering where his mother had gone and if she were to ever return...she had been here the whole time.

The. Whole. Entire. Time.

Right under his nose without a clue of the giant room's existence.

   A heartbroken Chat longed for his mother to awaken from her death-like slumber. The hero was in shock and saddened state of mind.
He wanted to embrace his mom and never let go. Cry into the elder woman's shoulder, telling her that he loves and missed her every single day.

   Chat couldn't think of anything he wanted more than to see those warm green eyes open again. To see her smile and the music of her melodic laugh. Her presence was all it took to light up a room after just stepping inside.

He didn't think when agreeing to help Hawkmoth, his inner child wanting the gap in his heart to be filled with love again. His inner selfishness wanting his mom back.

Ever since that day, Chat Noir and Hawkmoth became a team. The unknowing Ladybug felt betrayed after finding out her trustworthy partner was fighting against her. There was no Akuma mind control or puppetry forcing him to take her miraculous. It was his own choice and will.

   Adrien felt incredibly terrible for betraying his lady. He couldn't get the way her eyes dimmed in sadness out of his head or the disappointment in her frown. It was as if she was almost going to cry. That image was stuck in his head 24/7, taunting and haunting his very being.
