Darkness. A single flame rises. This is my entry. I touch the flame and then the scarlet color I know so well envelopes me.
One step, and I am somewhere else. A room with white walls and green wave patterns. I know where I am.
"What do you want?" I ask who ever summoned me.
"Something simple," a voice came from my left. I turned quickly to see it belonged to someone I am not completely fond of.
"Can you go into specifics, Graclyn," I said with disgust, this Wattie must have needed me if she was willing to call me.
"No problem, I need you to protect a human, this one is the Dangees next target," The Dangees were a mutual enemy of my people, Watties, Eves, and Cloud breathers.
"Now why will I do this, please, tell me," I said smuggly. Sure I hated the Dangees, but I wanted something good out of the deal.
"As expected, you Flame Warriors are greedy, I will give you 200 platinum coins if you go this. Also remember, if the Dangees succeed in two more of their missions they will have enough power to rule all of Gero,"
"Fine, I'll do it, as long as you remember to pay me," I thought Graclyn would teleport me then and there bit she just kept talking, stereotypical Wattie.
"Also, remember, don't blow your cover,"
"Got it, just teleport me already I can't stand your Wattie world,"
"It's not Wattie, it's Water Knight, and I don't want you here anymore than I had to, good bye,"
And that is when I felt the sensation of falling backwards. I always loved that. The air whooshing past your ears, your hair going crazy, and it even made me feel more free than ever.
When the darkness subsided I opened my eyes to find myself on a park bench. I looked down to see what human form I had taken on. Skinny dark blue jeans, black shirt with red flame patterns on it, scarlet jacket, and dark red high tops.
Looking to the side I saw shiny black, wavy, long hair. I was a human female. Now, a name, an awesome one, a great one, how about Ashley Peterson. Sounds good.
Now where is the person I am supposed to protect. I surveyed the green space near me, no one. There was a weight in one of my pockets on my jeans I reached down to find a cellular device. While navigating the phone I found that Graclyn had given me a house, 12745 Knoghtwood street (keys were in my pocket), education, I was to go to a school called West Ivory High, and the human I had to protect was named Samuel "Sam" Reid.
The first thing I thought to do was check what day it was, Sunday. So tomorrow I have to go to school and get my schedule. I should go to my living space and check it out.
It was only 4 blocks away so I walked to the place I was to stay while on this human planet. It was a small house, as expected. It had black window frames and was painted a cream color. I put in the key, I wanted to see the inside and make sure I don't need to buy too much.
The inside was interesting to say the least. It clearly had the mark of that Wattie. The curtains were light blue and were flowy, I hated them instantly. Where as for furniture there was a dark brown table, where I guessed I would be eating, with four matching chairs that had cream colored cushions, when will Graclyn stop tortureing me with this house. There was a tiny door under the stairs that lead to the toilet, good thing to know. This also had the color scheme I had a strong disdain for.
There were stairs leading to an upper floor. Oh Yeah, humans have to climb, they can't float. Taking that into consideration I climbed the stairs and mastered them with ease. Take that stairs. This floor was worse. Blue, everywhere. There was a guest and main bedroom. When I went inti the main bedroom I felt much better, this made more sense.
It was read and orange with fire patterns along the bottom and top of the walls. The bed sheet here was a silky orange with a giant red comforter. The pillows even looked like fire.
I took a look in the closet and I was blasted with black, red, and orange. This was awesome. There were many tee shirts that were black and red, one even looked like a soccer jersey, the main color being black with red stripes on the sleeves and a single flame on the left side upper corner with a shield like outline. These human clothes were amazing. I even had more than one pair of things to cover my feet, shoes? Right?
I could spend my whole time in this house just in this room.

Where My Demons Hide
Fantasy"I want to hide the truth, I want to shelter you," That was my main goal. To hide everything and to protect one person. That was extremely hard, when you have to protect someone who doesn't even know it and to hide what you really are from them.
