Me: Idk, my dad had the theory kids should be seen not heard. So if we were ever out and my parents were talking to another adult, I wasn't to speak unless spoken to. And I was legit terrified of him, he was like a drill sergeant. You don't go against him period. And so I didn't talk much and taught myself how to fix my issues, so I just never grew out of keeping quiet.
