"Tell me one thing." She says defeatedly.
"Ok, fine. What?" I cross my arms.
"Are you happier with her?"She crosses her arms too. I stare at her. She looks absolutely gorgeous in her white sun dress. She has her hair up in a messy bun and she doesn't have any makeup on. I'm honestly not sure why I cheated on here but I sure as hell regret it.
"Yah...No! No, I'm not happier with her and you know damn well I'm not! I just did this to get back at you!" I start to raise my voice.
"Get back at me? For what?!" She looks my dead in the eyes with confusion.
"F-for flirting with Liam!" That's such a lie but I had to come up with a reason on the spot to make sure I don't look stupid.
"Oh,shut up! You're being ridiculous! Liam's my brother best friend! We grew up together! Now you're trying to tell me I'm flirting with him?! You kissed her right in front of me, Michael!"
"You deserved it..." I mumble thinking she can't hear.
"Oh! I deserve it?! Ok! Fine. I get it..." She starts to leave but she turns back around before she reaches the door. She takes off her necklace and her ring and tosses them on the ground in front of me.
"Have fun." She sighs, then walks out.
I sigh too as I pick up her jewelry and set them on my dresser. Rubbing my neck I think, 'What have I done?' My phone buzzes.
'Hey. Can I come over tonight? :) xLeyla.'
This is exactly what I wanted, not! I don't even like her. I just wanted to get back at Carter, but I guess I took it too far.But to be fair, Leyla kissed me.'I have the flu, no.' I reply.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do without her. Maybe I should call her. I know for a fact she won't answer to my number. I put in *65 and then dial her number. It rings four times, then she answers.
"Hello?" She answers annoyed.
"Carter?"
"I knew it." She mumbles. "What do you want, Michael?"
"I want to apologize..."
"I told you! Have fun with that side girl. She can have you full time now."
"She was never my side girl in the first place!" I defend.
"Uh huh, sure." I know she's rolling her eyes.
"You can apologize all you want but we're not getting back together. I can just give Liam a chance..."
"Wow, so that's it?" I ask.
"What do you mean?"
"We're just giving up?"
"It's not the first time you've done this to me. Michael, you've gotta understand that this isn't the first time, and it probably won't be the last. I'm one with getting hurt."
"Name a time I've hurt you, Carter! One time!"
"That one time. We were at Thomas' birthday, in that pub. You called me fat and a whore. Then you proceeded to throw your drink at me."
"I was drunk!"
"You said name a time, so I did."
"You act like you're the only one that's been hurt in this realtionship!" I stamer. She's never actually done anything wrong but, hey. What do I have to loose anymore?
"Oh, really? You've been hurt." She says, knowing that I'm wrong.
"Mhm."
"When?" SHe laughs in disbelief.
"When Liam kissed your cheek." I come up with another answer on the spot.
"He's Italian! It's what they do!" Dammit. She has a point.
"This is pointless, Michael." With that, she hangs up.
What the hell?! I don't want to leave her, but maybe her brother's best friend will have her running back to me.
