Haha, there were quite a few old forum topics saved on my computer. So here's another one. Again, I play Anthea, and one of my friends plays Remus Lupin. It was a story about 'imprinting' though the Twilight Saga wasn't out yet then. XD So, Anthea is Remus' imprintee and he has to make her fall in love with him. Poor Remus!

BLIND GAME AGAIN

Remus stepped out of the carriage, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. A small smile reached his lips as the familiar castle came into view. Hogwarts gave off an aura of happiness, magic, learning, and most of all fun. Sure it was cold out, but Hogwarts seemed to change all of that. Even Hogwarts couldn't change everything. Remus' life was still a string of tragedies.

He was lucky to be here, Remus reminded himself. He knew that life would hardly be worth living without Hogwarts. Every sparkle of hope that had been in his life since he was only six years old had come in the form of school. For the past six years, Remus had something to look forward to. School kept things interesting, and stopped Remus from falling into the monotonous life marked only by the lunar cycle. Yes, Hogwarts is what defined the world of the waking from the world of the dreams for Remus.

In the summers, his mind was perpetually in a book. The edges between fantasy and reality were so blurred that they were barely distinguishable. Yet, as soon as Remus' eyes fell on the castle, he was back in the real world. At Hogwarts there were stimuli. Remus' mind wasn't free to be lost. Hogwarts was where every single one of his friends was. With the marauders, school, and everything else, life would be fun again.

As Remus stepped inside the fancy double doors, he felt a part of him that had lain dormant for the entire summer reawaken. A small smile appeared on his lips, and the light reappeared in his eyes. At Hogwarts, Remus truly was a whole different person. From the second his shoe touched the stone floor, the guise he had used for years shot back up. The sad, lost, and depressed boy was buried under the face of the happy, optimistic and fun teen. It was interesting how many friends Remus had here, but how few of them actually knew him.

It wasn't that none of his friends were real. In fact, they were probably the best things that had ever happened to him. As Remus took his seat at the Gryffindor table, he felt a spark of happiness in his heart. This was where he belonged. As he listened to Dumbledore’s speech, Remus felt a true smile creep onto his face. The headmaster was amazing. Sure, some people thought that Dumbledore was a nut, but Remus disagreed. The headmaster of Hogwarts was a genius, and one of Remus' saviours. Without Dumbledore, he wouldn't be here at Hogwarts. In a corner of his mind, Remus wondered if without Dumbledore he would even be here on earth.

With the familiar "Tuck In!" command, Remus surveyed the now filled tables, realizing he was actually quite hungry. All of the chicken, steak, and other meat products passed under Remus' gaze without a second look. The sixteen year old vegetarian looked with almost disgust at the people who were eating animals. Sure, they might be healthy to eat, but Remus had found it gross to eat meat ever since he was five years old. It was after waking from his first transformation that Remus had sworn never to eat meat again. It was a vow that he had never for a second thought of not upholding.

Remus piled some cheese and salad on to his plate. All of the cheeses at Hogwarts were very good, as was practically everything. It certainly wasn't hard for anyone to find food to eat here. Remus buttered a slice of bread, and took a bite. It was as good as ever. As he helped himself to more food, Remus found his eyes wandering over to the other tables, as he looked over at all of the people of Hogwarts. All races, many ages, so many people in general. In the back of his mind, Remus wondered if any of the unfamiliar faces would ever become a part of his life.
