2:56 AM, written in the digital clock of Virgil's phone.

Not that the owner noticed the time - he was too busy looking at other stuff on his phone to notice such a trivial thing as time.

He wasn't tired. Ok, maybe he was a little drowsy, but it wasn't that much. Besides, he knew that his thought would torment him until much later, so why not distract himself while he's not tired enough to sleep?

He kept on changing between apps on his phone as if wanting to absorb all of the memes that they contained, but when he heard a shuffling on his bed, Virgil immediately blocked his phone, to not disturb Roman, who was sleeping by his side.

Virgil, instead of going back to whatever he was doing before, decided to look at his boyfriend, that was resting, and he couldn't help but admire how beautiful the man in front of him was.

It was so beautiful to watch the rise and fall of his chest, the way his brown hair perfectly fit on his face without it being bothersome, how peaceful was his low snoring, his lips always being in a light share of pink and how they would sometimes curve into the prettiest smile when he dreamt about something pleasurable.

Virgil couldn't help but wonder what Roman saw in him, even if he had already recited all of the reasons for this action. He just couldn't see all of those attributes in himself.

Roman didn't even seem to notice all of his flaws - how horrible and out of place he seemed without his makeup, how he would make a big deal out of everything seem small, because of his anxiety, the fact that he would hide so many things from Roman in fear of losing him forever, and so, so much more, and Roman just...

...seemed to ignore that it all existed.

Virgil thought of himself as so lucky to have Roman by his side. He thought that he was the luckiest side in all of the Mind Palace just for sharing this bed with his Prince. To call Roman his.

The anxious man gently brushed his fingers through the Prince's hair, smiling when seeing him lean unconsciously to the touch. Then, he moved carefully, to not wake him up, and pressed a light kiss on his forehead.

Virgil adored how he smiled at the gesture while still asleep.

He rearranged himself into a comfortable position again, facing the creative side.

Virgil sighed, content in having Roman as his last view for the night, before closing his eyes and falling asleep himself.
