Chapter 1

AU where there are no killing games

Y/N struggled to get out of bed, they were once again faced with the reality that most people refused to accept them because of societal norms that were created as time progressed. Y/N finally sat up and searched for their uniform, which they severely hated wearing mostly because a skirt doesn't keep a person very warm. They put their uniform on and grudgingly walked over to their backpack, which was open and had everything on the floor around it, they weren't the type of person who really cared about keeping things clean as they didn't have motivation to really do anything in life. 

"Ah yes, once again I can't find my goddamn pencil case." Y/N muttered angrily to themself. They rummaged through the pile of stuff on their floor until they found their bright yellow pencil case. "I don't know how i even lose something this colour…" Y/N shoved everything into their bag and ran to their bus stop.

Y/N sat silently at the bus stop. They decided to people watch, as they got bored quite easily. They noticed a purple haired boy who they immediately associated with the word annoying. They weren't sure why, but they thought it fit. Purple boy probably noticed them staring for an uncomfortably long amount of time and he walked over to them.

"Why are staring~" The purple haired boy said in an annoying tone.

"I was right, you are annoying." Y/N said bluntly, still staring.

"Waaaaaaaa! You're so mean!" The boy started crying and Y/N didn't know what to do.

"Wait no, don't cry, I'm so sorry.. I should probably leave." They said, panicking and standing up to move.

"No you don't need to do that! It was just a lie!" Purple hair told them

"Okay I can't keep mentally calling you purple hair so I'm going to need your name." Y/N stated.

"Oh, my name is John."

"I know you're lying." Y/N crossed their arms and shot the boy a glare.

"Fiiine." Purple hair whined "my name's Kokochi Oma."

"Makes more sense." Y/N said nodding "my name is Y/N L/N." They noticed the bus arrive and went to get on, but Kokichi grabbed their arm.

"Waaaiiit." He whined "don't leave me, I'm staying with you!" Y/N rolled their eyes but also laughed a little.

"Fine, you can stay with me under one condition." Kokichi looked confused.

"Okay what condition??"

"You have to find a way to get me a male uniform, this one is fucking stupid." Kokichi nodded and pushed Y/N into the bus, following close behind and eventually just grabbing their hand because he kept getting pushed around. 

After 20 minutes of awkward silence and Kokichi trying to be a dumbass, the bus arrived at the school and the students all got off. Y/N tried to get Kokichi to let go of their hand but he just kept holding tighter.

"You're an asshole Oma." Kokichi pretended to act hurt but Y/N could see past his bullshit.

"If you keep insulting me I won't help you get a male uniform~" That made Y/N shut up immediately. Kokichi laughed at them as they searched for their classes, Y/N finding theirs first and having to finally get Kokichi to let go of their hand. 

"Oma let go of my hand or else I will make sure you have no eyes." 

"Okay fiiine." He let go and immediately ran off. Y/N walked into their class and sat down, not ready for another day of bullying.
