kyungsoo doesn't quite remember how he ended up alone with baekhyun on the beach, maybe they had something to do or they all retired back to their rooms but even though it's a fine european morning he really needs to sleep because he is so jetlagged. baekhyun is beside him sprawled over his deck chair and he appears really bored and kyungsoo is hoping he finally falls asleep because he needs to and he doesn't feel like entertaining a bored baekhyun because he's annoying as fuck especially when he's bored and just as he's slightly aware he's drifting off to -- "soo?" -- oh shit shit shit shit shit shit fuck you baekhyun, he thinks but he doesn't move because he doesn't want to.
"what" he mutters and he's hoping baekhyun doesn't start cracking jokes they're not funny at all and-
"do you wanna go for a swim"
"no i am tired as fuck go away"
"that spoils the point of this you know"
"fine"
he takes off his clothes until he's down to his trunks and he slowly lowers himself until he's sitting with his legs in the water and baekhyun joins him by his side and they're both staring at the sky, unsure of what to do. he's perfectly fine with this mutual silence until baekhyun stands up and walks further in and motions him to do so as well fine since that's the whole point.
when he's far out enough he takes a deep breath and dives and then they're underwater and almost parallel to the ocean floor and somehow kyungsoo feels this urge to kiss him right here and he closes in and reaches for him, closing in until there was nothing left in between and kyungsoo could feel the mess of their limbs and the sea salt and he wishes this moment could last forever because it is beautiful, but baekhyun breaks away first and they both break surface, gasping wildly.
baekhyun clear his throat and takes a deep breath and kyungsoo is suddenly very nervous, but he can't help but think to himself he finally did, he can't remember how it first started but he did it and he's glad he did.
"i always thought it was jongin and you" is all he says and it dawns on kyungsoo he's wanted to do this too and he is so filled with joy he only whispers "but you and chanyeol" and baekhyun smiles that beautiful smile that millions of girls have died for and says "but it was you" and they're still panting a little and kyungsoo realises baekhyun has been striding through the water towards him and they're really close.
somehow the next moments feel natural and kyungsoo once more could feel baekhyun's warmth.
