It left silently, not a trace behind.

Burning, the fire never ceased until

Of all images engraved in my mind,

My memories burned with the silenced still.

The wind that awakened the wild beast and

Walls that crumbled before my stricken eyes,

The seconds passed like an hour glasses' sand;

Truth was sunk into the depths of hearts' lies.

A cry of desperation rang helpless,

Echoing the laughter of destruction.

A heart that screamed in utter hopelessness

For the embers that rose in eruption.

And through the black ashes that fell in grace;

The trembling silence, my only embrace.
