While the Royal Rumble isn't the actual first PPV of the year it is the mainstay as the one that starts the road to WRESTLEMANIA. And this years Rumble got some mixed reactions. Regardless of the reactions, this year seemed to be all about record breaking and amazing returns...
No matter who won (don't worry I'm not going to leave out the winners), there were stand out perfomances by a few non winners that deserve an MVP (no not the Wrestler) Awards...
Women's Royal Rumble Match
1.) Let's start with the best Knight in Armor (or tank top) Otis. Mandy Rose was thought to be eliminated when it was revealed that Sir Otis had once again come to her rescue and kept his lovely Rose's feet from touching the ground allowing her to stay in the match. And people say chivalry is dead.
2.) Record breaking Bianca Belair from NXT. Coming in to the Rumble match at #2, she lasted 33 minutes in the match before being eliminated. Now while the time is not record breaking (Natalya holds that record for the women at a whopping 56 minutes). What is record breaking is the number of eliminations that the lovely Bianca made...8. She eliminated 8 women before eventually getting eliminated herself.
