Chapter 2: Schedules

Vanessa's POV

I was currently walking to the cafeteria about 5 minutes late because I decided that I would help one of my favourite teachers grading some tests. It actually didn't take as long as I expected it to.

I walked in the cafeteria and walked to my table where Amelia, Matt and Amelia's boy toy, Luke were sitting and talking. Well, technically yelling. The closer I got to the table, the clearer their yelling became.

"For fuck's sake, just admit it!" Amelia yelled at Matt. "I will not admit it because it is not true!" Matt argued back. I sat down and sighed.

"What's going on?" I asked Luke who was staring at his phone. He didn't respond so I took his phone out of his hand and put it in my bra.

"What the he-" "What are they arguing about?" I interrupted. He sighed. "How am I supposed to know? I was very busy until someone disturbed me." He said, glaring at me.

I raised my eyebrow and pulled out his phone. "Oh, so by busy you mean going on Game fly to rent out a stupid video game?" "Hey!" He said ripping the phone from my hands. "The new COD is out and I need to play it. I hear that-" "Not to be mean or rude but I couldn't care less."

He rolled his eyes and went back to his phone. "Guys." I said, trying to grab their attention. They ignored me. I sighed and started to get up to go get some candy until someone pulled me back down by the sweat shirt. Amelia.

"Vanessa, doesn't he look like Justin Bieber?!" "I-" I started to say but was cut off, "No, I don't. He is gay." Matt responded with a shrug.

"Oh, really? If he is gay then so are you and so is your Dad!" She yelled at him. 'Well, she is definitely not going to get with that.' I thought.

I stood there looking back and forth between them. Yup, now I was stuck there. I wish I had taken Luke's unspoken advice. "I can prove that I am not gay!" Matt said. "Really, then show me some proof. Justin." Amelia let out mockingly. I knew she went over the line since it is quite clear that Matt doesn't like Justin Bieber as much as she does.

He widened his eyes when she called him Justin and stood up from where he was seated and looked down at her. "Fine" he said.

The next thing I know, his lips were on mine and his hand was travelling down to my ass. I kept my eyes open and looked at him in shock. He bit my bottom lip teasingly just as I pulled away. I blinked a few times to process what just happened. I have never been kissed like that before. I know it is probably sad but I'm the type of girl who loves to take things quite slow.

Suddenly, I just got up, turned around and started walking away when I felt a hard impact on my ass. I grabbed it and turned around to see Matt there, smirking at me and Amelia with her eyes wide open in shock.

I stopped at the vending machine to process everything. What happened there? It was all at a sudden. I wasn't expecting it and  I didn't even know how to feel about it. So I simply just choose to ignore it for now. 

        I got some Oreos and went back to the table and sat down. I sat there and just watch Matt and Amelia argue. Once again.

    Does nobody care of what just happened?

"Hey Vanessa, wait up!" I heard. I turned around and saw Matt running towards me. I forced a smile and closed my door.

It was now the end of school and I had to get home to do my homework and get ready for work. Yup, letting my mind stick to that thought.

"What's up?" I said to him once he got to me. "I wanted your number. I am gonna need some uh- help with Mr. McCarthy's homework." He muttered, scratching his neck. My smile turns soft. "Sure. It's 313-659-9831." I said. "Uh, thanks. Okay, hold on... Alright smile." Matt said holding up his phone towards me.

I hesitated for a moment and smiled when the snap is heard. "Alright. Perfect I will text you later alright." I nodded. "Bye Matt!" "Bye Vanessa." He waved as he walked back to the school.

I got in, buckled up and started the car.
