TMNT Parenthood

Chapter One

Mikey sighed as he skated threw the sewers. His brothers were annoyed with him once again and he didn't even have a fault in it...well all he did was joke with them. Anyways he skated past a collapsed tunnel when he heard whispering. He stopped, were there teenagers in the sewers again? He picked up his board, pressing up against the wall and listened.

"Sis, we're hunger."

What?

"I know but we have to wait. People don't like us. We look different."

Squeak! Mikey jumped and looked at his feet. A rat ran past his feet towards the inside of the collapse tunnel.

"Whoa! You shouldn't go there it's dangerous."

He heard a yelp when the rat made it past a point. It ran back causing him to move closer. A rock flew out and hit him

"Ouch. Hey that hurt." Mikey exclaimed as he glared at the shadows

"Then leave us alone!" The voice yelled

Mikey blinked at the shadows. That sounded like a kid. Mikey took a step forward and was assaulted by two more rocks.

"I said, Leave us alone!"

There was more than one kid in there. What kind of a parent leaves their kids all alone? It's been at least a little over three months since Shredder attacked. Mikey got mad and marched into the tunnel ignoring the pelts of the rocks as they hit his arms. He looked around trying to see where the child was. He just needed the kid to move and, ah-ha! Mikey grabbed the kid by his shirt and lifted him up and

And...

This couldn't be right. In his hand he held a child...specifically a cat child. Their body swimming in a tattered hoodie.

"Let me go!" They yelled

Mikey turned the child so that they got a good look of him. As soon as their eyes saw him they stopped struggling.

"You look like them."

Mikey looked down to see a smaller child holding onto a rusted rod and sucking their thumb. Mikey held his hand out and the younger one looked back and pointed. Mikey got closer and saw a box with two even smaller children. They were about the same size and huddled closely together. Mikey gulped. How is he going to explain this to the guys.

Leo looked at his phone. Mikey had texted him to come to a specific location that he found something so important he couldn't move it without their help.

"Leo, Mikey's been spamming me saying to meet him somewhere." Raph said walking up to Leo

"Same. Hey Don-"

"Mikey just told me that I needed my medical kit." Donnie said rushing past them both

That kicked both brothers into gears. They followed Donnie as they raced to where Mikey was.

"Any idea what it could be?" Leo asked

"Nope."

"Let's hope it's another stray and not something dangerous."

Mikey smiled as the eldest kid. Her name was Buttercup. The second was Buddy. The two little ones were still nameless. Mikey was going to wait for-

"Mikey!"

-speak of the devil.

"Hey guys over here!" Mikey called

The guys raced to where Mikey was and froze. Mikey was sitting crisscross with two baby mutant turtles in his arms and two mutant children sitting on his legs. The biggest of the little ones was wearing a dirty tattered oversized hoodie. The one following that one was wearing a dirty sweatshirt, way to big for them, and mismatched socks. The two smallest were wrapped in blankets. Mikey smiled

"Look who I found."

That snapped Donnie into action. He quickly kneeled in front of the biggest.

"How long have they been living like this?" He questioned them

"I...I don't know." The kid answered looking down in a pout

"I see Miss..."

"Buttercup. I am Buttercup. That is Buddy and baby one and two."

Donnie nodded as he moved into the next one who turned away from him. Donnie sighed and did a skim of the boy to see if he had any visible injuries. Seeing none  he motioned for one of the little ones. Mikey handed one over. This one was a girl and apparently a little under weight. She also looked to be a tortoise not a slider like them. He changed children with Mikey. This baby was a boy, he also looked like a sea turtle than a tortoise or slider. Donnie got up and turned to talk with the two silent brothers.

"This makes no sense. Who could have left them here?"

"I don't know Don but we're bringing them back home."

Raph didn't even argue they were living in terrible conditions. Leo walked up to Mikey and asked for one of the little ones. He handed her to Donnie and grabbed the other one.

"Mikey you take the little boy and Raph has the girl."

Raph looked at the little girl. She looked up at him and puffed up her chest and cheeks. He chuckled and nodded. With that the turtles now had 4 little ones.
