15 days before the 8th of January
"Swswswsw... Hey you little cat! Come here. Come to momma."
*cat meows*
"Come! I have a can of tuna here." I waved my hand with a can of tuna. The cat went near me and cuddled.
"I know you will. Let's go home." I carried the stray cat and headed home.
Well, you better listen to the song I have in my head right now - The Introvert by St. Arnaud. I learned this song from a friend when I was still in college. It was a pretty nice song. I hope you'll listen to it.
My elderly neighbors kept on staring at me, the children are innocently playing their favorite game and the dogs are still barking.
These are the usual scenarios everytime people see me. Maybe because I do not talk to anyone of them. They always look at me like I'm a complete stranger even if I have been their neighbor for five years now. The cold breeze would have frozen me. Good thing, I wore a thick jacket today.
"Finally, we're here. This will be your new home and Mizzi will be your new name."
I entered the house continuously singing my favorite song.
"Sha la la la la la la..."
I immediately sat on the sofa.
"At last." After a long walk for groceries, I think I really deserve this.
"Wait. I need to have a good music dosage before sunset."
I am now playing the song that's playing non-stop on my head.
When I'm on my own
Before I'm dead, but while I'm grown
I think I might skip townWhen I'm at the school
Words and colours, dye and tool
I may up and go away*cat meows*
You can come but you're not with me
You're nearby me at best
I'm alone by definition, when you leave I rest
Yeah I'm back at peace
Living easy
Oh the introvert I'll stayI danced to the beat of the song and gave my best groove.
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la laYeah I'll stare at my feet
Where the flowers bloom and the air smells sweet
And the grass growsHome is my favorite place. Imagine dancing into your favorite song, wearing your pajamas, eating chocolates and being yourself, your genuine self. Isn't it priceless?
*cat meows*
"Hey! What are you looking at Milo? You wanna dance with me?"
*Milo meows with its cute eyes*
"Come over here. Let's dance."
After giving Milo a hug, Morley went near me and walked around my feet. I carried him and started to dance again.
"You jealous, huh?"
Wait a second. Where's Mizzi?
I brought Morley down to look for my new cat and finally found her at the kitchen.
"Meow..."
"Oh. So you wanna eat."
I called my cats and we ate together.
After eating, they went to their respective beds to sleep.
"Good night my sweethearts."
I went to my room with a cup of coffee. I love staring at the sky before I sleep. The orangy sky was slowly eaten by darkness. It's approximately four and half hours before Christmas. Sure thing, I will be heavily sleeping while others are celebrating with their families sharing gifts, hugs and kisses with one another.
I could last in any day of the year without anyone but the feeling's always different when it comes to the boundary of 24th and 25th of December.
But I know, these days shall pass, and this sadness, too.
