Hop wandered through the Slumbering Weald, his thoughts jumbled in his mind. He had lost, after everything he had done. At this moment he felt like nothing mattered. The world had gone bleak, all the colors erased. He knew he should be happy for Gloria, but he had wanted to win for his whole life. He had wanted to beat the unbeatable, to make the impossible possible. He heard a rustle of leaves behind him, yet he dismissed it, assuming it was just a Pokémon. But it wasn't.

"Hop?"

It was a voice he knew too well. Someone's whose words had brought him down and haunted him. It was Bede. Hop sighed. Not wanting to interact with anyone, or anything, right now. He wished Bede would just go away and not make him feel like a disappointment or a burden.

"What." Hop said bitterly.

"I'm... sorry. I shouldn't have said that... you know... back at the wild area. Are you OK?"  Bede muttered.

*Note: Bede is talking about when he won in a battle against Hop and said that he was dragging down Leon's name and stuff*

He turned around to face Bede and shrugged miserably. Bede was shifting nervously, his gaze pointed towards the ground.

"I'm glad you apologized, but you really did hurt my feelings when you said that."

"Sorry." Bede whispered sadly. "You seem pretty down, is something bothering you? Besides, well, me."

Hop did kinda want to tell him, but he didn't think Bede would understand. He sat down, leaning against a nearby tree. Bede followed him and did the same thing, sitting next to him.

"C'mon," Bede said softly "I won't judge you."

Hop didn't care. His story spilled out, about how he had wanted to beat his brother and become champion for so long, but he kept losing over and over, no matter how hard he tried. How he was always in someone's shadow, whether it was Leon's or Gloria's. When Gloria was being interviewed after winning the semifinals, the interviewers didn't even notice him and acted like he wasn't there, even though he was right next to Gloria! At some point, he didn't know when, Hop had started crying. Bede wrapped his arm around Hop and comforted him. They stayed like that for a while. And to Hop's surprise, he felt better. He rested his head on Bede's shoulder and fell asleep. Bede looked down at him and smiled, blushing slightly. He grabbed Hop's hand and closed his eyes.

I made this because I was bored and we need more HopxBede.
