A few days later
"Dai Ying was a great woman, a great mother, and a great educator, she will live on in all of us especially in her son, Sora and her husband, Hiromi." Althea said standing up in a huge crowd of people all sitting at the funeral of Dai Ying. "She was a friend to all and wanted to help the minority. That is why I am naming the company that Dai was apart of after her, Dai Foundation."
Hiromi and Sora were sitting side by side staring up at the tall African-American woman, saying all of this.
"The Dai Foundation will continue to do what it does best, helping the homeless and poverty stricken families in her honor." Althea told everyone as she finished she looked out seeing Lara standing in the back staring at Althea.
Althea started to smirk before she realized that she was at a funeral and then she ended the speech by saying, "Dai Foundation forever."
Sora and Hiromi got up and walked out down the isle followed by the rest of the Dai Foundation parents. Ella, Stella, and Malia stood up with their respective parents following the Yings. Brooklyn waited for her mother and when she got to Althea's side, she asked, "Who is that woman?!"
"An old friend." Althea stated completely walking passed Brooklyn heading towards Lara, the mysterious woman. Brooklyn kept her eye as her mom said hi and the pair hugged.
Danny came up to Brooklyn and asked, "What's wrong?"
"My mom...she's acting...not herself." Brooklyn muttered and kept her stare on the two older women.
"Then let's follow them. Me and you. Team work makes the dream work." Danny told her, quickly heading out of the church following Althea and Lara.

Sora was sitting alone in one of many living rooms in Althea's mansion, trying to get away from people. He was laying on a couch looking at his phone with his headphones in, when someone sat on the same couch. He looked up seeing Ella, who was wearing a black dress with a black cardigan over top.
Sora sat up and took a headphone out while Ella started to say, "You can't just hide here all day, that's not what your mom would want." Ella told Sora, but he didn't like that.
"And how would you know what my mom would like and not like?!" Sora shouted angrily. "She was the best, everyone took her for granted especially me, I should've listened when they were teaching me when I was younger, both my parents told me they would have to die for me to reach my full potential. Never really understood that until now." Sora lifted his hand and focused making a small little tornado in his hand which made Ella wide eyed.
"Okay, yes, maybe I didn't know your mom, but I know how it feels to be in your position," Ella stated, "My twin sister died and no body really knows what happened to her, but now I think I'm on to something, that's why I disappeared yesterday after school and why I was late to your performance." Sora sat up fully taking out the earbuds, listening closely to what the brown haired girl said, "She must have found something and then one of our parents had to have done something to her....at least that's what I think."
"Woah, didn't really think about that, that is totally possible now that I think about it." Sora replied. Just then, Logan came into the living room seeing the two alone having a conversation.
"Guys, we are going for the pendant, we need your help." He told the pair.

"The plan is Ella, Brooklyn, and Logan go for the pendant while all of us distract and make sure no one goes upstairs," Danny said while Brooklyn added, "Especially my mom."
