Chapter 13
Ally’s POV
Stepping out of the doors of the kitchen, someone dragged my arm and pushed me up against the wall.
“What the holy…”
That was where my sentence ended because the next thing I knew there was a hand over my mouth. It was Lukas.
“Please don’t freak, I need to talk to you but no one can know.” He said.
He took his hand off my mouth slowly, just in case I screamed.
“Okay, what do you need me for?” I replied, leaning on the wall behind me and crossing me ankles.
“I need a favour. Your Jessie’s best friend so I’m guessing you know what happened on the log?”
“Yea, I know about that, what does that have to do with anything?”
“If you know what happened you know that I kinda like her.”
“Kinda?” I said, raising my eyebrows and thinking that if he didn’t like her that much he didn’t deserve her.
“Okay, well maybe a lot more than kinda”
“Cool, so what do you need me for?” I said, repeating my question
“Do you mind putting in a good word for me or at least find out if she likes me too?”
“And what ‘good word’ am I supposed to put in if I don’t know you that much?”
“Okay find out if she likes me then, I really don’t want to waste my time on someone who is only just flirting”
“Hey hey hey, that’s my best friend you may be wasting your time on. She’s better than you think.”
I thought over what he said for a few seconds and I came to my conclusion.
“I’ll do it” I said, “But what’s in it for me?”
“I overheard your conversation. I wasn’t eavesdropping I swear”
“Well overhearing is eavesdropping, but whatever, keep going”
“Well if you find out for me, I’ll put in a good word for you with Jake”
“I don’t know what I’m thinking but I’ll take it”
“Thanks Ally” he said, unexpectedly hugging me.
As he walked away, I stopped him, “Wait!”
Turning around, he looked at me to continue.
“Can you get the boys to come down, dinner’s ready. But I’ll get Mac.”
********************************
Mac’s POV
I couldn’t get the thought of her lips out of my mind. How she tasted. How soft her lips were. That was the first time I had kissed her and it was the most amazing moment of my life.
God stop being such a girl, you don’t even know if she liked it, something at the back of my mind kept saying that. But I knew it was true, it was impossible to know if she even liked it but I was hoping that the blush on her cheeks after our kiss meant she did.
The door clicked open so I sat up and turned to see who it was. It was Ally. She stepped into the room and looked at me for a few seconds before speaking.
“Hey” she said, looking up at me.
“Hey” I said back.
“Erm…dinner’s ready.”
