Be a shame if I made the ending to the last chapter a bigger problem than it really needed to be....😉

Mitch smiled, and pushed his plate aside, leaning across the table and gently kissing Scott. He was happy to be with this sweet, conscientious boy who wanted to do good things with his life.

That happiness faded when he heard what was the most horrifying sound in the world at that moment: a camera shutter. Mitch turned to see someone that he knew was a reporter sitting at a nearby table, with her small professional camera in her hands.

Mitch turned to Scott. Their kiss had clearly been caught on camera, and now, the public would very quickly learn of their relationship. Their relationship that was meant to be a secret.

He heard Scott's voice beside him. "Oh, shi...."

Mitch turned to him. "Don't say anything!" He hissed. "Just stay quiet, and let me do the talking."

Scott simply nodded, and Mitch turned to the reporter. "Are you still recording?" he asked.

She nodded.

"Well," Mitch said, "Keep calm about that, alright? All this is is a little experiment. Scott agreed to let me use him to find out what it's like to date a boy, so we went out. Of course, at one point, I had a little fling with someone else, but that wasn't a real relationship. And it didn't last long at all. So, this is just an experiment."

The reporter looked disheartened by that. "Alright," she said. "That makes sense, I suppose."

Mitch sighed, sitting next to Scott again. "Why wouldn't you use the excuse that she can't take pictures of a minor without that minor's consent?" Scott asked.

"Because I've never tried to stop them before, so people would totally freak out," Mitch whispered back. "They would know we were together. They could even just write about it."

Scott sighed. He couldn't argue with that, and he knew it.

The next day, the two of them stood in Scott's house with Kirstin. Mitch had explained the situation to her, and she was annoyed. "You two should have been more careful," she lectured.

"Well, we made her go away," Mitch said. "We convinced her that this was just an experiment. We told her that Scott had agreed to be my guinea pig, so that I could find out what it was like to date a boy."

Kirstin didn't look too happy about this. "You were still caught, but I guess it doesn't really matter all that much. At least you're out about your sexuality!"

Mitch nodded, laughing. "If I hadn't come out already, then people would freak out!" He said.

Kirstie nodded. "Well," she said, "the two of you need to tread very carefully from now on, alright? The press will likely know about this, although they may not do anything with the knowledge. Still, just be cautious, alright? We work like adults, but we are considered children, and it might ruin our reputation to be with other people at our ages."

Mitch nodded. "I know," he responded.

_

Mitch scrolled through his Twitter feed, looking at various things. Right when he was about to turn off his phone and go find something else to do, he saw something that made him sit up and gasp.

It was an article entitled, Child Celebrity Mitch Grassi Kisses Classmate; Says He's Just Experimenting.

This was bad. This was very bad. He needed to find out something to do. But what could he do? He clicked on the article. It had the picture of them kissing, and explained that they had been caught kissing. It said where they had been, and that they seemed to enjoy the date. This was all good and well, until he reached the end. The end said that the experiment seemed to be exactly what he said: a simple experiment. But then, it said that he and Scott were whispering, and that there may have been a less innocent side to the experiment.

Mitch gasped, staring at this for a moment. Then, he made a tweet.

This is disgusting. Much of the article is true, but you shouldn't just assume that we were whispering about something that wasn't PG. We were discussing how inappropriate it is for these adult reporters to be taking pictures of two teenagers kissing. That was all! We enjoy being together, but everything was perfectly innocent. I mean, we're only kids! At any rate, we have freedom of speech. I was being surrounded for much of every day, five days a week, by kids my age. I wasn't used to that. Not very many kids are involved in my line of work. And so, I wanted to get close to some. I wanted friends, but also so much more. We can go on dates without doing anything non-PG. Other kids our age do it; do I have to be bad just because I'm famous? Take this down! It's making assumptions about us that no one should ever make. About anyone.

Also, it has this picture. It's not okay to take pictures like this of other people, but especially not kids. I mean, people think celebrities are objects that should be able to be stared at and have their privacy violated. People seem to think they have no right to privacy at all, in fact! But, seriously. Go and take a picture of two random teens on a date, minding their own business, and write an article that suggested they had plans for after that are not PG. Watch the backlash you'll receive! That's all I am; all Scott is. We are normal teenagers. Now, I'm a rich teenager who's performed at Madison Square Gardens. I'm still a normal teen. And I have a right to privacy. This hilariously inaccurate article should be removed! And it should be disregarded by everyone else!

He sighed, posting that before setting his phone aside. He was angry. No one cared if someone took an unsolicited picture of him minding his own business, because he was famous. Were he anyone else, people would care.

Mitch had done what he could to get people to not pay attention to the article. But, as he looked at more of the replies to it, people seemed to believe it. This was very bad.
