The Angels Scarlet Rose (Marliza)

Chapter 15: No I'm not Heart Broken, you are

Eliza healed quickly, and once she was back to her full health, she was ready to leave

But the day we had spent together while she was still healing was actually... nice

We chatted lightly, even though it was still awkward as fuck 

But I got to know more about her, and vise versa

She loved singing, and after I pressured her enough she sang for me and it was.. well.. heavenly

She also told me about her two sisters, and how happy she was now that she could see them again (I also taught her the art of lying so I wouldn't get my ass kicked by all of heaven upon her return)

I also knew she loved flowers like Pip had said, but she had grown tired of the same plain white flowers of Heaven, which was why she had traveled to the meadow in search of better ones

In return, told her what my mortal life had been like, and about some of the other demons I knew

She seemed interested in what I said, and when she was looking at me as intently as she was, I couldn't help but get a little flustered, which in turn caused her to giggle adorably

Goddamnit- she was cute without even trying to be- u g h 

When the time came for her to go, I was sad. I had no clue if I would ever see her again, or if she ever even WANTED to see me again

We flew together to the edge of the forest and she looked longingly back up at the clouds. I knew how badly she wanted to go home, and I wasn't about to deny that for her

Before she left, she turned back to me and offered me a smile "I just want to thank you.. for letting me go and staying with me while I got better" she said

I nodded to her "It's the least I could do.. I really owed it to you, and I want you to know, that I will always be in your debt, so if you ever need some help from Hell, ask for Maria" I said and Eliza laughed softly "I will" she said and offered me her hand

I managed a smile and shook her hand "Now go home" I said and Eliza smiled brightly "Thank you Maria" she said and with that, she turned around, spread her wings, and took to the skies

I sighed sadly as I watched her go and eventually disappear among the clouds. I took the now dead flower out from hiding again. I held it in my hand before re "Pocketing" it and flying back to Hell

When I arrived back in Hell, I did my best to avoid people and flew straight to my private chambers

I sat dejectedly on my bed for awhile, silently staring at the flower in my hand

This continued for about a day

Some time into the next day I heard a quiet knock "It's open" I called before hiding the flower

The door was pushed open (With a little bit of struggling) and Pip poked his head in "Hi Auntie Ria!! Alex said I might find you here" He said and flew in, making sure to push the door closed behind him

I managed a slight smile "Hey bud, why were you looking for me??" I asked

"Well I went to check on Miss Eliza, but then she wasn't there and I went to find you but you weren't here either" He said and flew over to sit next to me on the bed "Where were you??"

"I had to take Eliza out of Hell, she was too sick and she would've died. I let her go" I said and looked down 

"You let her go?? But won't she tell on you??" Pip asked and I shook my head "Because I helped her, she promised not to tell" I said

"Oh... well I still think you did the right thing... but I'm gonna miss her, she was really nice to me" Pip said and hugged me from the side

I hugged him back and sighed "I know kid... me too.."

Pip looked up at me after a moment of silence "Did you give her a flower yet??" he asked and I shook my head and showed him the dead flower

"It died before I could give it to her... I guess it doesn't like being so close to demons" I said and held the flower carefully, even though it was dead

"Hm.. well if it's dead... maybe we can turn into something else" Pip suggested and I looked down at him "But it's dead" I said plainly

"Yeah I know... but Angels can do things with stuff that's alive... maybe demons can do things with dead things" Pip said and he took the flower from me

He closed his eyes and concentrated as I watched him carefully. After a moment his hands started glowing and I watched in amazement as the petals perked up to their former glory. The petals though, started turning darker and darker before they were a deep red color. Small thorns as well started growing all over the stem

Needless to say, it look less like a heavenly creation and more like one from Hell, but the amount of life present made it something of pure origins

It was the perfect mix of both worlds

"Holy- Pip how did you do that?!" I asked, completely stunned as Pip opened his eyes to see what he had done "Whoa- I didn't actually- w h o a" He said with wide eyes 

"Phillip- demons can't do that-" I said and took the flower to look at it closely, careful not to prick myself on any of the thorns "How did you do this??" I asked and looked at him

Pip shrugged "I don't know!! It just- happened!!" he said

I stood up "Don't tell anyone about what happened here, ok?? It could put you in danger" I said and Pip nodded in understanding "Ok but- why are you standing, where are you going??" Pip asked

"To give Eliza the flower she always wanted" I said before leaving my room and flying up to the surface
