"Yes, the plane landed safely. Do you think I'd be here talking to you if it didn't?" Chloe laughed loudly in the mingling airport, the noise making her voice indistinct.
"Mom, stop worrying. It's all right. I can take a taxi or ride the bus to the farm. Yeah, Yeah, I'll be careful. Okay, bye. Love you more." She hung up on her mother.
BEEP
Oh, well my phone died at the right time.
Walking in the unfamiliar airport with her bag behind her, Chloe softly murmurs to herself, "Well, either this is a different airport or they have completely upgraded this place."
After 15 minutes of wandering in this huge airport, lost, Chloe finally spots the exit. On her way to the door, she passes by a panel that's carved on it 'Welcome to Florida'.
After the sentence on the panel sunk in her mind, Chloe turns around to look at it again. She was shocked but mostly confused.
Fumbling through her pockets, Chloe searched for her plane ticket. When she got a hold of it, Chloe looked at her ticket trying to confirm that the reaching destination is Texas. She has to be there for a family gathering her elongated family always held.
Then, Chloe realized that Texas is supposed to be hot, for the only clothing's she packed were crop tops, shorts, and skater skirts. So in short, she only packed summer clothing.
But it was surprisingly snowing outside! It rarely snowed in Texas. And the only thing Chloe could think was, "Where the hell am I?"
Chloe wandered clueless outside the airport, she tried to ask some of her airplane attendants, but everyone's too busy and kept ignoring her like she was invisible.
She seriously started to doubt herself, thinking this was all a dream, and pinched her cheeks.
"Ouch!" Rubbing her burning cheek, Chloe realized that it's all real and not some weird random dream.
All her thoughts abruptly stopped when she saw a tall guy standing on the sidewalk and she thought of asking him about the ticket and where the hell she's at.
"Hey... Umm... Where are we at right now?"
Chloe was aware that the handsome stranger's wearing a thick jacket, and jeans paired with a Dr. Martins boot. While she... Well she is wearing a crop top and a skater skirt with converse.
Also, Chloe noticed that he looked young, maybe a year older than her?
She looks at him, waiting for a response.
The young stranger thought that her question was ridiculous, and ignored her just like the rest, and instead looked her up and down.
He turned his head back to look at the street ahead of him and said, "You seem to be all warmed up and ready for winter."
Chloe was left speechless, with all thoughts going in her head including 'He did not just say that. Oh it's on! You cute sexy guy! Damn it!'
"Excuse me?" She asked, giving him the most horrible and disturbing death glare she can. Rude by Magic! Suddenly started playing in her head.
The guy looked back at her, while keeping his poker face.
"What?" He grumbled, clearly annoyed by Chloe.
"I asked you a question, sir. Where the hell am I? I think I took the wrong flight." She said with an angry face and an attitude.
