Honestly you picked Forest because he looked the most prepared to deal with an escaped serial killer and freaky cult in the woods. The man had a belt of grenades strapped to his chest when everyone else hardly loaded their guns for this mission, now here he was looking the most armed and dangerous if not just a little stupid. Still it was a little hard for him to take much seriously, even if he was good at his job he was still now currently making dumb bird calls in the dark quiet woods like he was hunting ducks or something. Headed west he probably thought he was funny or cool but you were slightly upset by his antics at a time like this drawing all that attention to you two in the forest like he wanted a fight or something.
"Do you have to do that?" you hissed at him quietly, beginning to feel as though you were being watched in the dark forest. "Shhh I'm covering the sounds of our movement." he replied seriously enough for you to question if he was actually doing something good for the two of you. "I can't tell if you're fucking with me or not." you told him back in an even lighter voice than before. "Could just be practicing my bird calls for hunting season." he admitted, looking back at you with a smile. "I knew it! You're such a jerk!" you yelled at him, not at full volume but loud enough for you to regret. "Now look who's attracting unnecessary attention." he teased as he continued forward. "Just shut up." you mumbled, following him quietly. Surprisingly he was considerate enough to follow your request and stayed silent, he also dropped his pace to meet yours, sticking much closer to your side than before. You looked at him strangely as if asking what he was doing but he didn't regard your face, instead he looked really focused as you two went. Thinking he was probably just making fun of you you shrugged it off, 'at least he's acting like a professional now' you thought to yourself with a half smile. You two walked like that for a while, until the bird noises began to come back. They were soft at first, as though they were far away but you figured he was just making them softly to bug you and as they got louder and closer your patience for the man got thinner. "Stop it!" you yelled loudly this time. "Stop what!" he shouted back, not in an angry tone but much more startled by your voice than he should have been as he recklessly flung his grenade launcher back and forth. That's when you realized it wasn't him, when he spoke to you and the noises continued or when you saw faint silhouettes of crows flying away from you both at your sudden outburst, you didn't know which one your brain processed first but one of them certainly clued you in enough to feel the need to apologize to him. Which you were certainly about to do, but when you opened your mouth the only sound that could be heard was a scream, but it was not yours...
You and Forest both looked at each other, pausing a moment before more screams could be heard in the direction of the crash. You were the first to realize that the screams were real and you took off running. "Hey wait up!" Forest yelled behind you, slowed down by all of the extra weight he was carrying. He quickly caught up to you as you both began to approach the scene of the crash, arriving on the scene to find Richard blasting at wild dogs and Edward on the ground in pain. You quickly ran past Richard, haphazardly trying to get to Edward's side as quickly as possible. He was in pretty bad shape, hand near torn off missing bits of his flesh, but nothing that he couldn't be saved from with prompt medical attention, unfortunately the type of attention he really needed was hospital level but you could still keep him from bleeding out. All the while you were occupied with him the rest of the team had gathered around you all and began serving as more targets for attack, it was getting out of control and there were too many dogs for Richard to keep off of everyone. Edward pushed you back off of him abruptly moments before one of the dogs sunk its teeth into his shoulder instead of you. "Y/n!" Richard yelled, pulling you away from him. "I've got em!" Forest told him picking all of your dead weight off the ground as you didn't even try to stand up yourself, you just sat there looking at the dog, or more like through it it had a giant hole in its body where several vital organs should have been yet it was still attacking Edward like it was completely fine. In shock you hesitated to shoot so Enrico did it for you.
"Get back!" he yelled at you and you scrambled to your feet, ultimately pulled up by Richard. "We need to fall back!" Kenneth yelled. "There's a mansion not too far that way!" Richard added. "Go I'll hold them off!" Enrico screamed at everyone you tried to go back to Edward's side to help bring him to the mansion but he stood up hissed out a 'Like hell you will' before he whistled real loud, attracting the attention of a few of the dogs, and taking off into the forest. "I'll take care of him, you all get out of here." he ordered firmly, you hesitated, you knew he couldn't save Edward and he did too. Forest nodded, determined to drag your ass to the mansion if he had to. "Where's Rebecca?" Richard asked after pointing you all towards the mansion. "I'll find her, don't worry about us, just get out of here!" Enrico yelled. "Come on." Forest urged you to come to your feet as more dogs could be heard approaching. You waited a moment longer to see Richard curse the world before turning to join you all in a dash for the mansion. Then and only then as Enrico diapered from your view did you get up off the ground and run for yourself quickly making it to the mansion . Richard slammed the door behind him almost angrily as you and your team took the time to breathe. Once you felt good enough you decided to give everyone a quick once over, other than a few band-aid sized scratches and cuts everyone seemed to be doing alright. In fact you were the most beat up one in the room with all of the fight you put up leaving. You cleaned and covered what you could, but what you all really needed right now was a way out of this mess.
"So, what now?" you asked aloud. "I'm going back out there." Forest announced to the group, using his grenade launcher to help him stand up clearly not in the best shape to be going back out there. "What?" Richard asked in disbelief. "I got a good look at the helicopter while we were back there and although it certainly won't fly Kevin made some serious progress on repairing the outgoing communications systems, if I can just finish them off we might be able to contact Alpha and get out of here tonight." he added temptingly, even though it still wasn't the best of ideas for his safety. "Then I should go, communications are my thing anyway." Richard volunteered quickly ready to head out those ominous double doors. Forest stopped him at the handle. "And let you get all the credit for saving us no way." Forest joked halfheartedly. "Besides I want you to take this radio and find some way to get it working in this place in case I can't get through from the helicopter." He explained further while handing Richard his hand radio. Richard quietly accepted it and stared at it for a while like he was already trying to figure out ways to make it work. "Alright well since we've all got a plan now I guess I'll do something useful too. While Forest's in the woods, Richard you should you go look for whatever you need to get that working. I'll secure this area and seal it off from the rest of the rooms, Y/n can stay here in case we need medical attention and if any of us have any trouble we meet back here." Kenneth ordered taking the role of leader before standing up to head to the door with Forest. "I should go out there with him, He's my partner after all!" you protested, knowing that there was no way he should be going out there without backup. "We need you here." Kenneth shot you down gently. "No offense, but he'll need me more out there! How is he supposed to repair a chopper and keep dogs off him at the same time?" you pointed out obviously. "No offense, but with the way you were out there I'm not sure you'll be much help." Forest himself spoke up. "It's not like that, people were dying and there was nothing I could do, but I can do something this time I can protect you If you just let me try." you pleaded, every word from your mouth true. "I'll be fine, just trust me. And I promise, the first sign of trouble I have I'll come rushing back for you to patch me up, just stay here and open the door for me when I do get back huh?" Forest explained, trying to cheer you up. You were about to protest more but felt like you were just wasting your time.
"Alright." you sighed turning away from the group. Forest left quickly, Kenneth shot you a sharp nod before heading up the stairs to see how he could block off the area, Richard put a reassuring hand on your shoulder before taking off through a door on the bottom floor as well. You sat in silence for a moment before hearing a small explosion from behind you. Forest had already ran into trouble, not too far away from you either. You waited for him to come back but were only met with another explosive sound. You had to do something. You knew if you had just gone with him you this wouldn't have been a problem, you were less certain you could catch up to him before something horrible happened but were still rather confident you could, as he wasn't very far away. On the other hand he did promise to come back if he ran into anything he couldn't handle, so if you went out after him now he could be on his way back on a different route and you miss him entirely. Going could save his life, but staying might just be what he really needs. In what seemed like forever, but was just simply a moment you made your choice...
"If I go there will be trouble." Go to STAY
"If I stay there will be double." Go to GO NOW
