okay let's get back in some theories.. :)

okay, so welcome back to another part of my theories series! it rhymes, LOL-

anyways, the first thing i am curious about, or my dad especially, is how eleven got her powers..

well one thing i heard was that the abandoned hawkins lab kidnap innocent children, such as jane (eleven) to be tested, experimented so they can develop weapons.

they use people to make weapons and future plans, but then eleven escaped and that's how the adventure started.

from what i can possibly say is that maybe her powers were brought by the upside down? this theory wouldn't be necessary, i think the lab accidentally created a doorway to another dimension, and then took people to be tested and make weapons. (if i can elaborate, i mean weapons by the children with superpowers and crap.)

it did work, the gate was closed and all, but the thing is, is that how the stupid lab is USING PEOPLE AS WEAPONS.

next theory, is about the single demo dog in that extra scene in the ending episode!

well, some say the demo dog is it's own wellbeing. however, it can get a little puzzling because the source of everything, like the brain, is the cause of creating these demo dogs.

like the party said, if the brain dies, the body dies as well. the mind flayer, which is basically the source, a gigantic demo dog, was sucked in or dead in the gate since joyce closed it by force.

the people who work for the mind flayer, dies as well, including those mini demo things sucked inside with the people. this is because, from what i heard..

if the brain dies, the body dies with it.

next theory!

jim hopper, what did happen if he was actually alive?

now, i might talk about the same things from the last part, but here goes.

yes, there is a necessary reason hopper might've been captured by the soviets, but here's another thing. he might've jumped into the upside down, and probably lived in there for a couple weeks.

basically, what happened is that jim might've used the ladder right before the machine exploded that was used to close the doorway. that's why they didn't show his corpse like they do with all the other characters that died. they also played the same song heroes, like they did with the fake body of will. that's the only song they played twice. once hopper jumped in, the soviets opened the gate back in russia because they had that demo dog. hopper finds it and goes into russia, but then he was caught and is now a prisoner, plus the prisoner that was being killed by the demo dog was speaking russian. so, basically hopper is still alive and he is probably the only american in the prison.

another theory -

eleven will gain her powers after a few weeks or months from the trauma she's been through, such as hopper's "death" and other emotional roller coasters. like as she said in the ending episode, her powers are like a battery. sometimes it can take longer than usual for how much energy she has used or her emotions if she's in the mood to fight back again.

once she has gained her powers, she is able to find hopper if he's alive, then the party will meet up at the same house and find hopper again.

it might take more effort to fight back since it takes ages for eleven to regain her powers, so before they find hopper, eleven might team up with kali and other victims of the lab to become one big group.

- back to the hopper theory..

the scene when joyce pulls both the keys to close the gate, shortly after you can see when people are near the explosion, they fade into air like in avengers infinity war, something like that.

if the machine was used to close the gate, it was also used to open it after eleven closed it in season 2. basically, i think the people who were faded in the air was sent to the upside down, linking to how jim probably is still alive.

plus -

in avengers infinity war, the people who were turned into dust were time travelled to 5 years before! so maybe, this might be in the same situation as jim and the other people.

the other people, also the russians, probably knew how to keep contact and capture jim to be put in the prison if joyce got to contact will when will was stuck in the upside down.
