CHAPTER 1

I woke up in the morning not feeling a thing. I didn't want to get up at all but had to. Today was the day. Today was the day I would be going to the funeral of my best friend, Maya.
*FLASHBACK*
It was Friday night. Maya and I had went out for a late night drive. We ended up at the beach. "I dare you to jump off the pier." I thought Maya was crazy. "Oh c'mon, I'll jump with you!" She held her hand out and I interlocked our fingers. On the count of 3, we had jumped. Once we were underwater my hand disconnected with Maya's. I had swam myself up and had looked around for Maya. I could find her. "MAYA! WHERE ARE YOU." I shouted on the top of my lungs. I looked everywhere but she was
nowhere to be found.
