Yukata Len Meets Hello World

The date was May 10th, 2020. Hello World (or her real name Halley) was going to the flower shop with her best friend Plug-In (or her real name Labradorite). White One Piece (or her real name Hope) welcomed them in.

White One Piece: (in sign language) Hello, how may I help you today?

Hello World: (in sign language) I want to get some flowers.

White One Piece: Ooh, are you looking for that special someone?

Plug-In: No, silly! She's too old! And all the Lens are too young.

White One Piece: Well, why don't you pick something that you like? Let me know when you've made your decision.

Hello World and Plug-In started looking around the shop. There were all kinds of flowers. Roses, sunflowers, tulips, daisies, you name it. Hope has them all. Plug-In saw someone else came into the shop. It was a Len module named Yukata Len (or his real name Minoru Ikeda).

Plug-In: (in sign language) Hey, look Halley! It's Yukata Len. He loves coming here.

Halley thought that he was pretty cute.

Plug-In: Why don't you say hello?

Hello World: Um, otay.

She saw Yukata Len look around the shop. Halley approached him and tapped him on the shoulder. That made him turn around.

Hello World: Hejo. I am Halley Handrolez.

Yukata Len: What did you say? I didn't quite catch that.

Hello World: Hal-ley Han-dro-lez.

Yukata Len: Still didn't get that. Sorry.

Plug-In: What's wrong with you, you silly boy?

Yukata Len: I can't understand you either.

White One Piece: (in sign language) Hey, Minoru. What brings you by?

Labby and Halley were confused as to why Hope was communicating with this Len module using sign language.

Yukata Len: (in sign language) I came for some sunflowers for my sisters.

White One Piece: They're right over there.

Minoru picked up a bouquet that he liked and went to the check-out counter. The other 2 girls in the room just watched, speechless.

White One Piece: (in sign language) Good choice.

Minoru handed her some money and picked up the bouquet. He smiled sadly at the 2 girls and left. Halley watched as Minoru left.

Plug-In: Why were you using sign language on that boy?

White One Piece: He is also deaf. Just like you Halley.

Hello World: Me?

White One Piece: (sign language) Yep. But unlike you, he was born deaf. You became deaf when you were only 3.

Plug-In: I didn't know he was disabled. I thought Ciel was the only disabled Len module.

White One Piece: Bebop Knave is blind. Yukata Len is deaf. And Ciel has a damaged voice box and can only whisper when he talks.

Hello World: What els does Yu-ka-ta like too due?

White One Piece: He also loves nature. He has a big backyard where he grows all kinds of fruits and veggies. He also has a greenhouse and a big garden like Hougetsu Nishiyomi does. Just without the animals everywhere. And he's a vegetarian.

Plug-In: Sounds like a cool guy!

Hello World: Didn't he druop out of skool or someshing?

White One Piece: Yes, he did drop out. And it's a shame too. He's a senior at Future Tone High School.

Plug-In: Why did he drop out?

White One Piece: There were bullies that were picking on him at school because of his deafness.

Hello World: I want to cee him again! Can we, Labby?

Plug-In: I don't know where he lives.

White One Piece: Oh. Here's his address.

She wrote an address on a slip of paper. She gave that to Labby.

Hello World: OK! We no wear he leeves now!

Plug-In found the flowers that she wanted to buy. And she and Halley left the flower shop. Their first meeting with Minoru Ikeda was short, but they now have his address. So they can meet with him again. And at least they both know a little bit more about this deaf kid.

Welp, I tried. I think this is one of the hardest stories I've ever written. Because she's deaf, Hello World is really hard to write about. Hope you enjoyed everybody, and I'll see you soon!
