"Bree!" I whispered, through the dark tunnel, trying to get an idea of where the dark haired girl was at.
"What?" She said back, not too long after. It echoed through the large cement tunnel, as I could tell she was in front of me.
"Slow down, will you? You're like, running through here. It's dark in here, I can't see you, plus you could get hurt. We are gonna get caught if we don't stay together." My anxiety taking over my words, as I begin to catch up to her.
"I'm not running, plus we aren't even close to where we were before. There is no way they know where we are. We ran for a while, and then took a completely different turn then they did. We watched them go the other direction. We're fine Ari."
"If you say so.. I still think you should slow down though." I said, still not convinced there aren't more of them, where we were going.
"The exit is just up this way, calm down. Come'on hurry up." She said, I could hear the echoes of her footsteps, and talking.
"I'm hurrying, I'm hurrying. Give me a second. I'm not that far behind." I responded, moving a little quicker this time.
When we reached the exit though, we booked it to the nearest building. It didn't seem to be in any use at the moment, so we slipped in through a broken window, and ducked behind the cashier counter. Satisfied with our progress, I sighed and leaned up against the wall. I slid down, and rested my head up against Brianna's shoulder, to get a little bit of rest.
