My alarm went off I open my eyes and realized I really got to go back to school. This really ain't it.I finally decided get up and walk into my bathroom. I hop in the shower and start to let the water hit my face. Water droplets ran down my face slowly while I listened to my music . I thought about Mattia I'm really scared to face him today I purposely ignored him while I was in Texas to get him out of my head. He needed me and I ignored him... I quickly shake the thought out of my head and turned up the music. Once I get out I brush my teeth, put on lotion , put on some perfume ,and wash my face. I walk over to my closet and pick out a comfortable fit cause I have no one to impress plus I honestly stopped giving a fuck sophomore year.

Genesis opened the door and leaned on the door frame.
Genesis: ready dork?
Spencer: Nope but let's do it.
We both walked downstairs and I saw my dad.
Dad: Hey pumpkin.
He walked from the kitchen and hugged me I hugged him back really tight.
Spencer: I missed you so much!
Dad: I missed you too sorry I couldn't be there when you landed work was crazy.
Spencer: it's fine I understand.
Dad: well I gotta get going you guys have a good day at school and Be home at 8:00 you two.
He kissed genesis and I goodbye and walked out the door.
Genesis: We should get going too or our asses are gonna be late .
Spencer: alright let's bounce.
We got into the car and genesis surprisingly gave me the aux. I smiled and put on die for you by the weekend and we started screaming the lyrics. Once We pulled up to school and we barely got there on time we both ran to our first period classes. Mine was chemistry with Mrs. Williams . When I walked in I saw Mattia straight away he looks surprisingly good. It honestly kinda threw me off. How do you look ok after you broke up with a girlfriend of 3 years.
Mattia: Hey Curly fries
Spencer: hey Dino how are you?
(Oh my god our nicknames are so cute the hell.)I sat in the seat next to him and moved it over to be closer to him.
Mattia: I been chillin nothing much,
Spencer: So um you and Jenna reall-

He leaned in and hugged me. His cologne smelled so good I just wanted to stay there forever. I'm glad he's not mad at me it's honestly kinda freaking me out. I feel bad for lying to him though . I really thought not texting him would make this easier but I think it made me miss him even more. I pulled away from the hug and sat up.
Spencer: How was your break though?
Mattia: spent all my time with the boys doing dumb shit but it was kinda lame without you.

While I was trying to pay attention to the lesson. Mattia started pulling at my hair
Spencer: Really Mattia you do this everyday.
He just laughed and kept pulling my hair. He did it for so long her started doing that cute thing when he's concentrating and he opens his mouth a little bit. He's so adorable.
Mattia's POV: I can legit do this all day if I could her hair is so soft. I missed her so much while she was gone. Ever since I dated Jenna it's like spence slowly drifted away from me.
Mattia: Hey wanna come over to my house after practice?
Spencer: Yea I'm down.
I feel like stuff is finally going back to normal.
*At practice*
Spencer's POV:
Jenna is giving me the biggest death glare I have ever gotten in my life. She acts like I'm intimidated by her though I wasn't raised to be treated any type of way and no way in hell am I gonna let her scare me.
Spencer: Ok guys now that were a little warmed up we're gonna do some exercises and then go for a 2 mile run. Our next game is going to be tuff.
Jenna just laughs while twisting the top of her power aid bottle.
Jenna: This bitch really has no idea what she's doing. Surprised she even went out for captain. I assumed she would be too busy spreading her legs for the whole school.
Her and her group start laughing while everyone looks at me. Genesis and I make eye contact and she mouthed " say something stupid."
Spencer: You know what I really don't know what smells worse your mouth or your cat. How about you close both of them and make everybody happy. I'm your captain so get used to it or get the fuck off of my field cause I do not need this right now.
Jenna: fine I'll let you play captain but to me you'll always be second best. Aww just how you are with Mattia. How does it feel to be an ugly ass rebound. Just remember I run this so stop acting so high and mighty.
Jenna got down from the bleachers and shoulder checked me along with her other two asshole friends. The girls came up to me while the rest of others got up and started doing the drills.
Selena: She's a bitch your a good captain and your nobody's rebound. She's just mad that you mattia got a bond that's unbreakable.
Ruby: Right she's just jealous of you don't even pay attention to her she's not worth it.
Genesis: Man fuck that nasty bitch she lucky I'm a senior so I can't beat her saggy ass up.

I started sprinting the girls right behind me. Tiny tears came out the corners of my eyes but I just wiped them away. All the shit she said was true I know I would always be mattia's second choice I wasn't blind . Shit I don't even think I'm a choice at all.
