The Kids From Yesterday

Leo's P.O.V

Last night, I realized how much Nico needed somebody, and that somebody probably wasnt supposed to be me. But, I was going to make me it me anyway, because I need him, and he needs me. When I awoke, it was eleven in the morning, and Nico was already up. He had gotten dressed, and he was now wearing a black sweater the read "My Chemical Romance", black jeans, black converese, and a black jacket. How vibrant.

He had head phones jammed into his years, and he was quietly singing along to a song, probably thinking I was still alseep. I listened to him sing in his quiet voice,"Cause you only live forever in the lights you make, when we were young we used to say, that you only hear the music when your heart begins to break, we are the kids from yesterday." He eyes were closed and he was still unaware that I could hear him sing. Once the song was over, and he stopped singing I said,"You're a really good singer, Nico."

He squeaked, and blushed. "Sorry, i didn't realize you were awake." He whispered. "That's fine,"I said,"what song was that?" He looked down at phone screen, but obviously already knew the song. "We Are The Kids From Yesterday by My Chemical Romane." I tilted my head, and poked his chest were it read the band's name,"Why is the romance chemical?" He sighed,"I don't know Leo, I don't know." I took the head phones out of his ears and out them in mine,"Could you play the song? I'd really like to listen to it."

He clicked play and this music blasted into my ears. Once the song finished, I said,"They're really good, I can see why you like them." He didn't answer, he just kept looking at his phone screen. "Nico?" He didn't look up. "Nico, what's wrong?" I took the phone from him, reading the text. It was a text from some guy named Daniel.

Daniel- Nico. Answer me.

Nico- ...

Daniel- Nico, I know you've missed me. I still go to Adrian, and I want to talk to you.

Nico- I haven't missed you, not after what you did to me, and then left me. I'm over you now, ya know? I don't care if we go to the same school or not, I'm done talking to you.

Daniel- Nico, don't lie to yourself. I'm coming to your dorm at two o'clock, you better be there. 24B, right?

Nico- No! Daniel, I've got somebody else now, I do not need you. You don't need me, you never did. You cozied up to me, knowing I'd fall for you. You never really liked me, and then one night you techincally raped me, and then left me.

Daniel- Nico. I still love you.

Nico- YOU DON'T LOVE ME, YOU NEVER DID. You don't deserve to say that to me!

I shouldn't have read his messages. He looked hurt. "Nico, I-" He glared knives into me,"Save it. I don't care what you have to say." He grabbed his cell phone from me, grabbed his things, walked away and slammed the door. Did I just hurt the one person who made me feel okay?

A/N: IM SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN A MONTH. my cell phone hasn't been working, and updating now is hard because im using a KindleVoyage right now, and the keyboard is so slow! Ill try to update as much as possible, though.
