Melody's POV

I walk down the hallways, pretending the world doesn't exist. That I'm not being bumped into, called names which would make anyone but me cry, pretending that I'm not a part of this world.

Some guy bumps into me and my hood falls off, revealing my dark hair, pale skin and pale blue eyes that seem empty to me. I squat to pick up my bag which spills open causing everything in it to clatter to the ground. I hear someone mutter ' stupid mute girl. ' But I pay them no mind and shove my things into my bag wanting to get out of there as fast as I can. I hear someone call out to me but I don't turn back, instead I round the corner just under the stairs leaving behind the cream walls, blue lockers and a world of chaos.

I sit alone in the empty music room looking at the piano but it doesn't call out to me, instead I pick up my guitar and move to the window seat where I watch the world outside. I strum on my guitar, playing around until I find the perfect tempo. The one that flows through me and takes me to another world. My kind of world, a world filled with melodies. I let the the strings sing until I get to the point of no return and then I sing.

She just wants to be, beautiful She goes, unnoticed she knows, no limits She craves. Attention she praises, an image She prays to be sculpted by the sculptor Oh, she don't see the light that's shining deeper than the eyes can find it. I hit every note, letting every emotion I keep inside pour out and flow through me. And finally the song ends and leaves me on a high that fades away as soon as I hear his voice.
