CHAPTER 1
Darkness was descending from the Sky's as I walked home. Me and my mate Ricky don't usually take this long to get home, but I noticed that she was getting rather slow and pale.
As we arrived at the bus station I knew we had missed the afternoon bus so we carried on walking, when we got to the end of the street I caught something out of the corner of my eye and I it wasn't right so I grabbed my mates hand and ran. Unfortunately she slipped and fell to the ground when she didn't get up I called for help.
CHAPTER 2
The lights were dim in the hospital wing, I held Ricky's hand, knowing the news would hit hard. As i studied the room, I noticed that the arrangement looked like a death bed, that made my eyes water. As I looked down at my mate with a bandage around her head and a 'strong face for both of us I knew it wouldn't last long.
Ricky had lived in my house ever since her parents died from the fatal car accident, we then grew close and became BFF's, and shared everything together except for my secret.
When the Doctor walked with his clip board held high to his eyes, I felt my mates hand shake. He was a tall handsome man around his mid 30's and his face sowed lines of tiredness and stress.
He cleared his throat and announced that my friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and she would become brain dead if they gave her surgery.
