"Free Poster"

I spend my study hall in the library because I am one of the best book shelvers in the school. Believe it or not, it's hard work! My friends and I didn't have any books to shelf that day. We helped pack up the Scholastic book fair, went through our t-shirt orders, and did other things. "All of the shelvers, button makers, and book deliverers can get a free poster from the book fair," our librarian announced. I hopped at this chance.

There is always one One Direction poster at the Scholastic book fair. I plowed past the sixth grade button makers, and snatched the poster out of the box. My friend had already grabbed the same poster that I did and was talking about Louis' VANS. We both turned to our posters and started gushing over the boys, her Louis, and me Liam and Niall.

Of course we were getting some weird looks from the other people. I turned to one girl and said "Don't call me, lady." It was a joke. She and one of my guy friends began singing their own version of Call Me Maybe a couple of days before. She was "giving my number" to the guy because she thought he liked me and he was basically calling me gross (jokingly.) I eventually went up to him saying, "Don't call me, lady."

The bell rang, signaling the end of school, and I headed out to my bus with my poster wrapped in a rubber band.

"What ya' got there?" A girl in my grade asks.

"My boyfriends," I answer simply. I've never had a boyfriend. I'm only in 8th grade for goodness sake (and everyone thinks I'm weird.)

"Harry and Niall are mine," she claims.

"Don't think so. Niall is dating me."

'Call Me Maybe' boy walks to his seat and jokes, "Sorry ladies but he's mine."

I'm usually not as out there with my fangirling during school because for a smaller town, my school is quite big and has a lot of people that would make fun of me for being myself, but I guess every girl has to have their fan moments sometime or another in public.
