What Happened To Starmine's Parents?

It was afternoon on April 30th, 2020. Gothic (or her real name Grace) decides to visit her boyfriend Starmine (or his real name Skyler) after he gets released from the hospital. You see, he recently gave birth to his second child, a girl named Abigail on March 25th. And Skyler is even more stressed than before. When Grace pulled her car up in Starmine's driveway, she got out and knocked on the door. There was no answer. She tried knocking again. There was still no answer.

Gothic: Huh, that's weird.

She opened the door. To her surprise, it was unlocked.

Gothic: Skyler? You in here?

She looked upstairs and saw Starmine coming out of a room. He quietly closed the door. Grace walked up to him.

Gothic: Hey, Skyler.

Starmine: Aah! Geez! Grace, don't scare me like that.

Gothic: Sorry.

Skyler put his ear to the door. He didn't hear anything.

Starmine: Phew. You could've woke them up.

Gothic: Oh, are they taking their nap?

Skyler nodded.

Gothic: I'm sorry I scared you.

Starmine: Just...don't do it again. So, what brings you by?

Gothic: I just wanted to see you.

Starmine: Oh.

Gothic: Do you want a neck rub or something?

Starmine: Yeah. I'm kinda stressed out right now. Especially with the new baby.

The 2 of them went downstairs.

Starmine: You want something to drink?

Gothic: Water would be nice.

While Skyler was getting her drink, Grace was rubbing the back of his neck and shoulders.

Starmine: Ow! Not so hard.

Gothic: Sorry.

Starmine: Here's your water.

Gothic: Thanks.

They both went to the living room.

Gothic: Why don't you lay down on the couch?

Starmine: Why?

Gothic: So that I can get back to the neck massage.

Starmine: Okay. But not too hard.

Starmine laid down on his stomach. Grace put her drink on the floor, got on the other side of the couch, and rubbed his neck with her hands. Skyler sighed in content.

Gothic: You like that, don't you?

Skyler nodded. Grace continued massaging his neck for a few more minutes. Then she moved on to his back.

Starmine: You should be a masseuse when you graduate from high school.

Gothic: Oh, I'm not that good at giving people massages.

Starmine: But you're doing a good job with me.

Gothic: Well, you were getting pretty stressed with the new baby.

Starmine: True.

Gothic: So, why did you name your baby Abigail? You said it reminded you of your mother.

When Skyler heard the word mother, he started to get all teary-eyed.

Starmine: You can stop now.

Gothic: What?

Starmine: I said, you can stop now.

Gothic: What's the matter? Are you okay?

Starmine: Yeah. I'm fine.

Gothic: No, you're not. Your eyes are filled with tears.

Starmine: It's nothing.

Gothic: Was is something I said?

Starmine: Yeah. But I'm fine.

Gothic: (getting a tissue) Here.

She wiped the tears from his eyes.

Starmine: Thank you.

Gothic: But seriously, what happened to your mom? And your dad?

Starmine: That's...a subject I don't like to talk about.

Gothic: I understand. You don't have to tell me now if you don't want to. I was just curious, that's all.

Starmine: It's okay. Most people in Negi Root City don't know that much about me. Or what happened to my parents.

Gothic: (hearing one of the girls crying upstairs) I think either Amanda or Abigail needs their mommy.

Starmine: You mind sticking around and helping me?

Gothic: Sure.

And so, Gothic spent the rest of the day with Starmine and his 2 girls. Gothic was still curious about her boyfriend's parents. But that can be a topic for another day.
