Sometimes being a teenager that has responsibility of their siblings everyday is hard. All I do everyday is go to school and right back home to babysit. I need time to breath.
*Sals room Door opens* "Get ready Sal we are going to be late " Says Jacob Sals little brother. "I'm up" I said as I get off my bed, I opened my closet to choose an outfit for school & while i did that I remembered i had to call my best friend to meet up with me in the morning. I take a quick shower and rush my Little brothers out the house. "Your a hot mess today Sal" says Cassie, Cassie and I met when we were like 2 years old & we have been best friends since then.
"Is my hair that bad i didn't feel like doing it this morning, plus the wind is going to blow it" I said. "Sally are we still going today?" Says Jacob, Cassie looks up quickly "going where ?" She says, "I promised the boys ill take them to grandmas after school today" I said. "Can I join you guys ? I haven't seen mama in a while" says Cassie, "Of course you can Cassie & yes Jacob im going to take you guys". We continued walking & all of the sudden Jacob screams "Look Sal look" I turn as quick as I can to look, I looked across the street and saw my mom and the police were there as well.
They were arresting my mom, I asked Cassie to hold Jacob & Sebastian for me for a sec. I run across the street as fast as I can " Sally honey please tell them to let me go" says my mom, "what happen?" I ask one of the officers, "Good morning, who are you?" says the officer, " I'm her daughter, what did she do?" I ask once again, tears nearly came to my eyes. The last time my mom got arrested we had to stay with my grandma for 8 months. "She was drunk driving & also her licenses is suspended" says the officer.
As always another few months at my grandmothers house. I never get more that 2 weeks with my mother anyways. Shes always get into trouble, I don't know why & how she gets into so much trouble. I really miss having my mother, the last time I got to spend more than 2 weeks with mother was when I was 11 and it was because my grandmother was sick in the hospital. She had caught cancer again. I killed me to see her that way.
I honestly wish I had more time to spend with my mother. Things would be more understanding and better."Sally is everything okay ?" Asked Cassie,
"yes, everything is okay thanks for asking" i replied.
"Where is mommy going ? " asked Jacob,
"She will be home soon" I say. As I always said every time my mother gets into something. I had a feeling my little brothers would find out sooner or later the real meaning to "She will be home soon".
