I observe closely as your eyes flutter open and close.

Hidden behind what distracts you from your head,

You sit in that chair; your frailty exposed.

Darkness from the night fills the room,

But I illuminate your silhouette.

Don't be alarmed by the crackling of the white noise,

For I intend no harm; no, I am not a threat.

I whisper your name loud enough to disrupt the signals,

But your somnolence neglects my cries.

Here lies another night where I've been forgotten.

It aches that you can't see my eyes.
