She walked away.

He just stood there as the only girl he loved walked away.

She did her part. She told him how she felt.

How she loved those sleepless nights just talking to him.

How she loved his ocean eyes that held so much mystery in them.

How she felt so safe when she was with him.

All he did was look at her. He didn't utter a single word.

Once she asked him if he liked or even loved her, he just turned away.

She knew he didn't love her. She had her answer.

As she walked away,

she knew that moving with her aunt back in California wouldn't be a problem.

As she walked away,

he just kept thinking of running to her and telling her how much he loves her

but he knew he shouldn't.

He loved her so much he would let her move away and follow her dreams.

She had something waiting for her in California,

something amazing, he wasn't going to hold her back.

He also knew he wasn't good enough for her.

He knew he was a bad influence.

He couldn't take care of her like she took care of him.

He's letting her go.

For the better.

He's letting her live her dreams because in this small town,

she wouldn't go far and he didn't want to be the reason for her to stay.

He walked back inside. She turned around wanting to get one last look at him

but all she saw was his back as he went inside.

The tears fell.

There was no need to stop them.

It's what her heart wanted to do.

Cry for them.

She took one last look at the small house, turned around, and continued to walk.

He looked outside the window and saw her cry.

He wanted to run to her and comfort her

but her knew he shouldn't.

He saw her take one last look before turning around

and walking away.

That was the last time he saw her up close and face to face before closing the curtain and going to his room.
