Anna's P.O.V
So maybe I told a little white lie but as soon as my feet touched the ground outside of The Burrow, I knew I made the right choice.
I about ran inside the huge off kilter house out of relief and a little because of the cold winter air.
Throwing the door open, I was met with eleven pairs of wide eyes looking at me.
"Merry Christmas!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms up in the air.
Mrs. Weasley, as always, was the first to rocket up out of her seat and wrap me in a bone crushing hug.
"Oh my dear girl, Merry Christmas, I am so happy to see you are well. Seat, Seat, have a seat. If I would have known you were coming I would have set you a plate" She released me and rushed me toward an empty chair next to Percy.
"If I would have known I was coming, I would have owled first and made sure it was alright but it was so last minute and I didn'........" I rambled on and on until Mr. Weasley butted in.
"Anna you are always welcome here. It's no matter to us"
I cracked a big smile, shrugging the backpack off my shoulders. I turned around and stepped back toward the door, putting those god aweful high heels down on the mat.
Turing back toward the table, I was greeted with bushy brown hair clouding my sight.
"You never even owled me or Ginny. We were worried sick" Hermione scolded, pulling away to give Ginny a chance to embrace me as well.
Harry was up out of his seat as well and I have to admite, I was more than happy to see him.
Taking a few steps to meet him half way, I wrapped him in a warm hug.
"Am I happy to see you" I stated.
Letting him go, I layed my hands on his shoulders and stood directly in front of him. I needed his full attention.
"I am and always will be on your side. Friends protect friends, no matter what the cost"
"Together" He smiled.
"Or not at all"
Dropping my hands, I peeked around Harry to see Ron still in his chair.
"Oi! You! Ginger down in front. No hug?" I questioned, holding my arms out wide.
"Don't mind if I do" George stated, already wrapping his arms around me. "I have to say, I asked for a gorgeous girl for Christmas and I didn't expect mum to pull it off. You really out did yourself this year" George smiled over at Molly, who in returned rolled her eyes.
"You'll be getting a jumper as always my dear brother" Fred stated, pulling me out of George's grip, "I expect that this young lady is for me"
Fred wrapped me into a warm hug and I returned with no complaint.
"What happened? No owl, that is unlike you" Hermione questioned, giving me a once over.
"Long story short, Draco told me if I continue to fight alongside Harry he would tell my parents. I told him, I will not be threatened by him and we broke up. I ran away" I explained, stairing at my feet on the floor.
"I will fight for what is right, no matter  who or what is in my way. I will always be on your side"
Harry smiled at my comment and grabbed me for another hug.
"I can't do this without you" He murmered in my ear, before pulling away.
We stood there in silence for a few seconds until Mrs. Weasley broke us out of our trance.
"That's enough hugging for one day! Sit down, Sit down, eat up. I didn't cook a meal for it to sit and get cold"
Taking my seat next to Percy, I filled my plate up with food and dug in.
I was more then safe.
I was home.

*2 monthes later*
"I can't believe this" I fumed, pacing the Gryffindor common room.
Everything was going fine.
Classes were simple, homework was simpler, and nothing in the slightest has occured since we got back from Christmas Break.
Until last night.
Last night was the night Dumbledore was murdered and Harry and I were there to witness it.

*FlashBack*
"A letter" Hermione stated, pointing at my well made bed.
Just getting out of the shower, I hurried and pulled on Jersey Shorts and a V-neck before grabbing the folded up note.

                                        Anna,

Meet me at the Astronomy Tower as soon as you recieve this.
It's urgent

Harry

Re-reading the  letter over and over again, I hadn't the slightest idea what to think.
Except it was, in fact, urgent.

"I need to go" I muttered, slipping on the pair of flips flops beside the dorm door.
Taking the steps two at a time, I couldn't help but think I was late.
Or too late.

I sprinted out of the common room and took the spiral stair case up to the Tower.
Reaching the top, No one was there.
"Harry" I whispered.
No answer.
"Hello, anyone" I whispered again, why wouldn't Harry be here?
Unless im too late.
I waited for 20 minutes before I heard a crack come from behind me, spinning around, I was met with the site of Harry holding up a very frail Dumbledore.
"What the hell happened?" I exclaimed, grabbing hold of Dumbledores other arm to steady him.
"This" Harry stated, holding up a necklace.
"Whats a Necklace have to do with Dumbledore Hardly breathing?" I questioned.
"It's a Horcrux. Voldemorts. We found it"
"That's Brilliant Harry but....." I was cut off by Dumbledore.
"Go, now. Leave" He barked at us.
I gave him a disapproving look.
"We can't leave you sir, you are........"
"Go" He demanded.
Taking the hint, Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me down underneith the steps.
Hidden from sight.
"Why did you send me that letter, How did you know?" I questioned, curious as to why he needed me.
Harry quickly shh'd me quiet.
"I didn't" He whispered, "If something happened and I needed you. I wanted you here waiting, that's all"
He turned back to peaking up through the floor at Dumbledore who was now, not alone.
"Expelliarmus!" I heard a familiar voice yell.
My eyes sprung tears.
How could he do this.
"Good evening Draco" Dumbledore stated.
"I heard you talking! Who else is here?" Draco sounded frantic and I arched my neck to get a better look at him from our hiding place.
"No one else Draco" Dumbledore was calm, even with a wand at his chest he gave Draco a sympathetic look
"You are no killer Draco"
"Aren't I! You dont know what ive done! What I have to do!" Draco yelled.
He was uneasy and sick looking in the pale moon light, his face only a shell of a boy I used to know.
"You are not working alone? So tell me, how did you do it?" Dumbledore sounded interested and to be honest, so was I.
"Vanishing Cabinet, ive been mending it. It's twin is in Borgin and Burkes. Death Eatters are on their way" Draco stated.
"You don't have to do this Draco"
"You dont understand! I have to kill you! Or he is going to kill. He is going to kill innocent people. Students! Anyone I ever have spoken too or shared a table with will be dead by tonight unless I do this" Draco whimpered, his wand shaky.
Just then, Death Eatters started to pile in. Coming out of thin air.
I tried to block it out.
Coaxing him, taunting him, Draco however, still couldn't do it.
"Leave the boy alone" I heard a dull voice breakthough the chatter.
Snape.
"Severus..."
Snape continued to stair at Dumbledore, wand in hand.
"Severus......Please" Dumbledore pleaded.
No, this can't be it. It can't be him.
"Avada Kedavra" Snape raised his wand swiftly and shot a green ray out of his wand tip.
Knocking Dumbledore dead off the tower.
I was going to be sick.
Letting out a silent whimper, Harry wrapped his arms around my head and pulled me into his chest.
Whether to comfort me or to keep me quiet, I had no idea.
The Death Eaters cheered and ranted on about the old mans last plea before racing triumphantly down the steps.
"Get back to the common room, lock yourself in your dorm and don't come out" Harry ordered, following the Death Eaters decent.
"Whats going to happen next" I whispered, unable to raise my voice any higher in fear of screaming out.
"I don't know" Harry stated, pulling me down the steps behind me. We ran through the halls, hearing cackles and spells from the Death Eaters echoing off the stone walls.
"Whatever it is, it isnt good" Harry pulled me into a short embrace before pushing me into the Gryffindor common room and slamming the portrite behind me.

*End of Flashback*

"Now what?"
Harry, Hermione, Ron, and I looked at each other, studing the looks of confusion on our faces.
"Voldemort knows we know, he is pulling together an army. We need to do the same. Even if Hogwarts stays open next year, im not coming back" Harry stated.
I shook my head in agreement.
"It's now or never" I whispered.
"We'll go back home, tie up loose ends" Hermione murmered.
"Then start" Ron Finished.
Picking up our trunks from the ground, we spared one last look at the old common room.
The last time we will ever leave this room again.
