Within the exosphere of the planet Earth, a spacecraft is currently in orbit for unknown purposes. It is a massive spherical space station with concave eye-sockets and a mustache rendered kilometers of vacuum-hardened plasma-steel, such in the likeness of Dr. Eggman.

It was within this orbital fortress that a portal materialized and several figures emerged from it revealing to be Areion and the others who had been pursuing the doctor all the way into space.

"So this is his little hideaway huh?" Areion said as he looked around, this is his very first time he's been to to outer space.
"Some things never change around here with Eggman, we'll pound this place back to the ground after dealing with him." Knuckles said.
"But first we'll have to find him first." Mina said.
Areion nodded in affirmation. "And as always, we'll need to split around. The pairs are Knuckles, Cream, and Mina, while Tails and I will go together. No doubt that Eggman is aware of our coming and had prepared his forces to attack so be careful."

"That's a good idea, Nicole! We'll definitely find Eggman that way." Tails said.
"Now that we all know where to go, let's hit the road!" Areion turned around and took off with Kou and Yoru hanging on to his blazer.
"Hey Areion, wait up!" Tails spun his twin tails rapidly to propel himself forward after the teenage human while the other direction.

Areion and Tails ran along the pathway which went downhill and led through a hallway to the end where a giant rail was waiting for them to ride along while exposed to the exterior of outer space. Grinding down the sloped tail sent the duo back into the interior of the space station as they ran up a hill and jumped over a row of spiked to bounce off a spring at the other side close to wall to ascend to an upper level where a Buzzer badnik aimed at them and fired an energy bullet. Tails quickly grabbed onto Areion's hand and lifted him up with his tails spinning rapidly like a rotor. Areion channeled energy to form a Chaos Bolt which he threw at the badnik to destroy it.
