"Bye!" My mom said as I got on the bus for the first day. My head was exploding with thoughts about bullies, hard school assignments and mean teachers, but I was also pretty excited. I could maybe make new friends for the first time in forever! I got off the bus and looked around at crowds of kids just standing outside. I stood with them.
The bell rang as I walked inside the enormous building that stood in front of me. I was really here. I followed the rest of the 6th graders to what I assumed was the 6th grade hallway. Couldn't the teachers be a little more clear? I walked to my locker and opened it on the 3rd or fourth try. I soon realized the building was super huge. Overall, the first week was really easy. I had 3 classes right next to my locker section, so math, LA science and social studies were easy to get to.
I had Family and Consumer Sciences as one of my encore classes, and it got cooler by September and October. We started making meals, and soon to sew. Tech Ed was like a woodworking class, which I'm pretty sure included saws. Art was a double sided classroom where... Art was made.
Anyways, there were many classrooms in my building. But I only got mixed up in the first week. Middle school was starting to get fun. Before EVERYTHING changed.
