"Welcome to the show. I assure you, there'll be no surprises along the way. I'm about to tell you all exactly what I need, and when I need it done." Rose's voice echoed through the large, almost gold rimmed room. The clicking of his shoes against the tile only went silent when he stopped at the window, turning back to face his adopted son, and his assistant. "Do you think they'll all appreciate that introduction? It's the first time we'll all meet in the same place. I'd like to make it clear what I need, after all." A sly smirk curled onto his lips while the blond fixed the cuff-links of his tuxedo. "It'll do the job, chairman. That's all that matters."
Rose was about to call together, who he'd compiled over the last five months, his mafia team. He, Bede and Oleana had been running this operation for a while with a few others, but they'd decided it was time to expand, to allow more to happen. To allow them to reach their highest peak, of excellence. Oleana poured them both a glass of their finest wine, looking out over the city from the penthouses large windows as they waited for people to arrive. Not very long after the two adults had begun speaking, they noticed cars starting to pull into the ground floor driveway. Rose turned to Bede with a smile, and the boy looked toward him, nodding as he walked to unlock the door. The older mans view shifted back to the window, as he saw his hired men step out in tuxedos, or other semi-formal outfits, and hired woman step out in dresses. He had told them this was a party, hadn't he? He took his place at the front of the room while he waited for the door to swing open out of.. a certain someone's determination, and as he took a sip from his glass, such events unfolded. A force swung open the door as a shorter man in a dark green suit, which almost appeared black, walked towards the chairman, his anger quickly dissolving into what seemed to be anxiety, or even fear. "Where's my brother..?!" He chokes, using all of his strength to hold back tears as he holds a hand up toward the older man, who only lowers it down with his own, accompanied by a soft chuckle. "In due time, Milo. Sit, wait for everyone else to get here." He uses the same free hand to motion towards the couch, and Nessa steps over, holding the red heads hands as she walked them both over to said furniture, crossing one of her legs over the other, placing a hand on Milo's back, while he stared at the ground in silence. More people filed into the room, and as they did, Bede approached Rose, standing beside him in silence before deciding to speak. "..Chairman, do you think this was a good idea? Inviting everyone here?" "Bede, I've only invited the people who accepted our invitation. Don't worry about it, everything will be ok." "Okay."
As the chairman looked around the room, he noticed almost everyone had now arrived. He recounted how he'd gotten each of them to come here tonight. Milo, of course wouldn't accept the invitation to the group at first, though Oleana had told Rose his muscle would be a good force, and Rose agreed. He and Bede had kidnapped Milo's younger brother as incentive, to lure him to the initiation meeting, and if he'd refused that invitation, his brother would die. Rose was happy it hadn't come to that. Secondly, Nessa. The woman was offered a large sum of money, and a promise of more fame and fortune. After accepting, she'd launched her modeling career, and it'd taken off immediately. Now Kabu had been with Rose for quite a while. He was the main source of information, alongside Oleana. He'd become a very big part of the group, and was a clear consigliere for the better part of 6 years, when Rose had started this operation. He was very, very good at balancing out Rose's outlandish ideas, and good for helping Bede carry, and dispose of bodies, other then that, he refused to get his hands dirty. Two characters the man couldn't see in the room, over the rim of his wine glass, were Bea and Allister, and truth be told, he hadn't expected them to show up, they were nothing more then transport vessels. Bea received weapon shipments, and Allister got them through security checkpoints, due to the officers not being able to legally check a child. Gordie and Melony were stood in the back corner of the room, only talking among each other. Melony has also been with the group for a while, though Gordie had only just accepted an invitation. Melony was in charge of any human trafficking done, and that didn't happen a lot per say. Gordie had overheard her on the phone with Rose, and panicked when Melony explained the situation to him. He demanded an invitation, to be able to show up and be of some help to his mother, and Rose happily let him into the small group. And last but not least, Piers, standing in the absolute furthest corner of the room by himself, on his phone, probably to tell Marnie that he was alright. In fact, Marnie was the reason Piers joined the organization. He'd heard about it from another member, who obviously wasn't careful with their words, and he'd asked Rose to join for extra protection of his little sister, and of course, the money always helped. Only two people were missing, but that was alright with the chairman, or should I say, the Godfather.
Rose stepped forward, tapping the side of his glass with the pin from his jacket to catch everyone's attention. Within seconds, all eyes were on him. "Welcome to the show. I assure you, there'll be no surprises along the way. I'm about to tell you all exactly what I need, and when I need it done." He repeats his small speech from earlier. Some peoples attention, such as Milo, Gordie and Piers, averts to the floor, while everyone else nods, waiting to be told what to do. After Rose had talked to everyone, and the.. party, started to get a little less awkward, the door swung open and closed again with a loud noise which got the attention of the room focused to one point again. A familiar purple haired man turned to everyone, blinking as some only stared. "...Leon?" "You're part of this?!" "What the 'ell you didn't tell us!" The room begins to erupt, but with a raise of his hand, Rose quiets the room again, motioning for Leon to speak. "Hi, everyone." He starts, fixing his suits ties lightly and running a hand through his disheveled hair. "Yeah..! I'm part of this whole thing.. Been here since it started, actually." His gaze shifts off to the side as he receives either glares, or nods of recognition. He walks to stand next to Rose, who smiles up at him, then looks back toward the group. "Everyone, my right hand man." He motions to Leon with his wine glass, who nods lightly. The small group talks among themselves, and Kabu excuses himself, walking out of the large penthouse apartment.
Around two hours later, Leon and Piers are the last to leave, after they'd helped Rose, Oleana and Bede clean and fix the apartment, they'd decided to leave together. Walking out of the building lobby, Piers spotted a figure that he'd seen a lot less of lately. Curiously, he looked up to Leon as they continued to walk. "Oy, been meaning to ask. What's up with you 'nd Raihan..? 'aven't seen as much of you duo around as usual.." He nods across the street in motion to the taller man, who'd already seemingly caught Leon's eye, due to the light coming off of his phone in the dark city streets. "It's.. It's complicated, Piers. He doesn't wanna associate with me after findin' out what I'm doing with Rose.." "Eh.. I'mean, he's gotta point. I wouldn' wanna associate with ya either, if I was in his place." He looks over to the route nine tunnel, moving himself away from the champion. "This 's my cut-off. Luck to ya, mate." "G'night, Piers." He sighs, eyeing the taller man halfway down the other side of the street, gathering his courage and walking toward him. "Raihan, mate! How are ya?" He echos, once he's close enough, beginning to walk beside the taller man. The only response he gets is a glare from the corner of the gym leaders eyes, causing the champion to audibly gulp. "Rai..? Hey, c'mon..! It's-" "It's you. I know that stupid voice, Leon." The voice coming back to him wasn't a happy one, and for a good reason. Leon sighed, trying to keep a chipper tone. "Yeah, see! Of course you can recognize my voice, just what I'd expect from your sharp sense of hearing!" "Knock off the friendly bullshit. You're coming back from Rose's, aren't you?" "..You got an invite, didn't you..?" "Yeah. Of fuckin' course I did. Don't you dare ask why I didn't bother showing up." He turns his head to fully glare at the shorter man, who steps back of intimidation. "Raihan, I'm trying to be nice.." "I don't want you to be nice to me. If you're out there hurting other people who won't join ya, why am I so fucking special?!" He snaps, turning his head back to face forward and moving his arm violently when Leon places a hand on it. "Raihan, please.." "I don't wanna talk to you. Bugger off before I lose my temper Leon." "..If that's what you want." The champion sighs, sluggishly turning away and taking a different path then who he once considered his best friend. Raihan, on the other hand, felt nothing but anger as he saw Leon walk away. Not towards him, but towards Rose for getting his rival entangled into a mess of murder and extortion. "..I'll get you outta there, Lee... I promise..." He sighs under his breath, peeking at the man from the corner of his eye, before turning onto the next street to make his way home.
