Chloe Bourgeois was the daughter of the mayor of Paris. She had power over everyone. All she had to do was say,
"Do you want me to tell my Daddy about you?"
And suddenly, everyone was at her feet. There was only a few people who didn't do whatever she wanted, and one of them, was Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
She always seemed... different. And at first, Chloe didn't like her for it.
So, she taunted Marinette, she never even called her by her first name, it was always "Dupain Cheng," or on occasions where she got ticked off enough, called her "MariTrash." She never was able to come up with any creative insults.
Adrien Agreste was the son of a very important fashion designer, and their family was an important Ally to the Bourgeois family. Chloe thought she liked him. He was nice, and sweet, and good-looking. Chloe thought she was in love with him, since he had all those kind characteristics.
She knew that Dupain-Cheng was head over heels for Adrien. So, their rivalry began. Chloe's stomach flipped whenever she was around Marinette, and she always brushed it off. Who knows, maybe Chloe hated this girl so much that she made her sick.
There was a school dance that occurred a few months after school started, Marinette had made her own dress. It was a pastel pink color that went just above her chest, with a flower hem. And a thought popped into Chloe's head
"Wow, she looks pretty."
Chloe immediately erased the thought from her mind. No. She hated Marinette. She was the complete opposite of pretty.
Somehow, Marinette seemed to get even kinder, and prettier, and sweeter than before. And soon Chloe started feeling flustered around her. She began to avoid Marinette like the plague, hoping it would save her from an embarrassing experience.
But one day, during class, the teacher had left the room. And everybody was talking about the upcoming bake sale. Ayla wanted to bake her mothers cookie recipe, and everybody agreed, everyone knew Ayla's mom made the best cookies. But Chloe made the mistake of intervening.
"Tch, who cares about her moms dumb cookies? They'd probably taste like ash anyways."
"Be quiet Chloe, everyone loves her moms cookies."
Marinette spoke to her.
This wasn't a big deal. Nothing to worry about. She had dealt with Dupain-Cheng many times before. Why was this any different. Chloe began to muster out a sentence, not finding the right words to say.
"Oh yeah?" She said.
"Well, uh, your moms cookies- I mean, you- yeah well!- AGH!"
Chloe's face was bright red.
Her heart was racing.
What was wrong with her?
There was a moment of silence.
Then everybody laughed.
And Chloe stormed out of the room.
She sat in the girls bathroom until lunch, when she went to meet up with Sabrina.
"Hey Sabrina."
"Hi Chloe!"
"Are you okay?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah... I'm fine." The blonde replied.
"What happened back there Chloe?" Asked Sabrina. "You always have a comeback to everything."
Chloe took a moment to reply.
"I-I don't know." She said. "Whenever I'm around her, it's like she's the only thing I can focus on. My heart starts racing. I get all flustered. And then I start looking like a tomato.
Sabrina stared at her for a moment.
Then Chloe realized
"Oh god... I'm in love."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
