What Matters Most

Chapter 11

Axel*

When Corey told me that Luke called an emergency family meeting, I groaned. It was two in the morning and all I wanted to do was sleep. Instead I was calling all of the guys to come back home. Sean was the hardest. He kept insisting that he couldn't leave until I called Dr. Robert's who made sure he would be here. 

Now all we had to do was wait. North and Silas showed up first. They did not look happy. 

"That stupid girl was working on sleeping with the third guy just tonight. I am so glad we didn't actually have to see anything, but still listening to it was fucking awful." North growled in his usual greeting. I wanted to laugh but felt really bad for him. 

"She sounded like a banshee in heat." Silas added looking throughly disgusted. 

"Do banshee's even go into heat?" Marc asked wanting to laugh. 

"Hell if I know." Silas shrugged. 

Nate and Kota came in next. They had some papers in their hands, most likely the information they got on some of the other guys. Corey and Victor were already here. Raven was in our apartment waiting for Kevin to untangle himself from Sang, the lucky bastard. Brandon was in the kitchen looking for something to eat. Guy could eat 24/7 if he didn't have to sleep. 

"Do you guys know what this meeting is about?" I asked Corey and Victor who were keeping track of Gabe and Luke while they went to Rocky's. 

"I'm not sure. I know Luke was throwing his guts up. He sounded miserable." Corey stated. 

"Yea. Gabe kept muttering something under his breath but I couldn't make out what it was." Victor added. 

"Well they should be here soon. Marc is the coffee ready?" Owen asked just as Sean walked in. 

"The doctor is in the house." Sean said happily. 

While Owen and I rolled our eyes, everyone else laughed at him. I swear this group acted like a bunch of children sometimes.  Whatever kept them sane though. This job could be taxing on all of us some days. I was surprised that we got through it without any mental health issues sometimes. I guess it helped that we had Sean and Dr. Robert's to talk to. 

Kevin and Raven walked in right before Luke and Gabe. The last two looking white as a sheet. Whatever they saw or heard must not be good news. I had a feeling this was going to be a long night. 

Owen*

Luke and Gabe looked horrible. I wasn't sure what happened but they needed to talk now. I could see that North was getting into his protector mode as he went over and hugged his brother, pulling Gabe in with them. 

After they were finished and coffee was passed around. We all sat down around the table.

"Report Luke." 

"We went to Rocky's house. He was having a get together with a lot of his friends. The only two voices I recognized were Mike and Jay from Ashley Waters. We were right about Rocky actively seeking out Sang but it goes way beyond that."

"What do you mean?" I asked. 

"It's better if I just show you but you guys need to remember that Sang is sleeping right above us and she will be able to hear if you all start shouting." He said grabbing his phone out of his pocket. 

"It can't be that bad." Marc said. 

"Trust me." Gabe cut in. "It's fucking disgusting, it's more than fucking disgusting. That girl is never to be out of our fucking sight. She is grounded for life."
