(Y/n) sat on the porch. Looking at a woman playing with the small child. Both were looking happy, and the smiles on they're faces were absolutely beautiful.
But not for (Y/n)
He looked over at his wife. For once, the smile on his face was comepletly wiped out. No longer present. As the house became silent. Sometimes, if he tried hard enough, he could hear his wife weeping inside their bedroom. It hurt his heart.
He walked over, and sat down next to her. Looking at the lady as well, playing with her little boy. He felt his heart tighten. He imagined that would be his wife, He imagined coming back from work, and seeing his lovely wife and little boy or girl dancing. Dancing along to the music which played on his radio station. He wanted to take his little boy or girl to work, and show off. Show off how much of a joy they are.
But that wasn't the case.
"Why.."
He looked over to see his wife. Her form shaking, as she looked over at him. He felt his heart shatter to a million pieces.
"Why did it have to be me?"
He wrapped his arms around her. His grip holding onto her tightly. He felt a sob coming out of him as well. But he made sure to hide it as well as he could. (Y/n) was crying into his shirt, and he gently pet her hair. Holding her close to his figure.
"It hurts. It's hurts so much. I'm so sorry Alastor..I couldn't have your child..I couldn't have our child..Because of me..This baby died."
He stopped, and pulled away. He had a firm grip on her shoulders, and looked at her dead in the eye.
"You can't blame yourself for this. This ain't your fault. My dear lord, don't ever say that again.."
He pulled her back into a hug, and she let out a sob. She hugged him back tightly.
"Don't worry my dear..I'll stay here. A hold you together.."

A week passes

"Alastor!"
(Y/n) walked out of the house. She had been waiting, and waiting, waiting for her husband to arrive. But he never came. She waited for a whole day, and never saw her husband. God, had her own mother seen her act this way over her husband she would've given her a good smack, but that didn't matter. Now, her husband was getting out of his car, his coat handing and he tilted his hat up. She stood with her arms crossed.
"Are you out of your mind?! I was worried sick!"
"I'm sorry dear.."
"I tried contacting you, asked around, hell, I even tried going to your work place! But your co-worker said you went out for drinks!"
"I'm sorry.."
"And here I am, sitting like a fool. God! Alastor why couldn't you just-"
"I SAID IM SORRY OKAY?!"
She flinched. This was the first time he had ever raised his voice with her. Alastor was many things. But violent wasn't one of them. He had thrown his hat to the floor, and looked at her. Tears threatened to fall down his cheeks.
"I lost a kid too..I wanted this child just as much as you did.."
(Y/n) looked at him. Her hands falling to her side. How could she have been such a fool? The whole week, she had felt sorrow for herself. While her husband was holding her together, he too was falling apart. She walked over, and looked down at her feet. She gently took his hand, and apologized.
"I'm a fool..Alastor..Here I was feeling Sorry for myself. When you were also struggling.."
She hugged him, taking him in a warm embrace. He put his arms around her waist, and buried his face into her neck. Taking in her scent. She smelled like cinnamon.
"From now on, we hold onto each other.."
She looked into his red eyes, and smiled. He nodded, and hugged her again.
Never wanting to let go.
