Chapter 11

"Taylor." Someone said.

I opened my eyes. It was Emily's mom.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"The doctors are letting us in there, everyone has already been in there except you and your friends." Her mom said to me.

"Okay I'll go in." I said.

I got up from the floor.

"I'll be in the waiting room downstairs." Her mom said.

I nodded.

I walked over to the door and opened it slowly.

I walked in.

Emily was asleep.

I sat down in a chair next to the bed.

I held her hand.

"Emily?" I said.

She didn't answer.

"If you can hear me I just want you to know that I love you and I hope you get better." I said.

I laid my head down on the bed next to our hands.

I noticed that my cheeks were wet.

Have I been crying? I didn't notice if I had.

"Emily, please don't leave me, I love you, please." I whispered.

Tears formed in my eyes.

Then someone knocked on the door.

I lifted my head up.

Standing there was Shawn.

"Hey, can I come in?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah come in." I said.

I quickly took my hands and wiped the tears away.

Shawn came and sat on the other side of Emily in a chair.

"How is she?" He asked.

"She's fine, she just hasn't woken up yet." I replied.

"Oh." Shawn said.

"Um..do the guys want to come and see her?" I asked.

"No, they went to a hotel and they're hanging out there." He told.

"I stayed, I didn't want to leave you alone." He added.

"Thanks man." I said.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Shawn asked.

"Sure, I'll have some orange juice." I answered.

"Okay, I'll be back in a minute." Shawn said as he got up and walked out of the room.

It's been 30 minutes and Shawn hasn't brought the drinks back.

"Taylor?" A soft weak voice said.

I looked around the room.

No one is in here but me and Emily.

I looked down at her.

Her eyes were closed.

"Taylor." The voice said again.

But this time I saw her lips move.

"Emily?" I quietly said.

Her eyes opened slowly.

"Hey beautiful." I smiled.

"Hey." She said.

"What happened?" She asked.

"A car came through the mall and it hit you, don't you remember?" I told.

"Oh, yeah I was hoping that was just a dream." She said.

I smiled.

"Why do you keep smiling?" She laughed.

"Because I'm sitting in front of the most beautiful girl and I have something to ask you." I explained.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well...I was wonder if...if you wanted to be my girlfriend?" I asked nervously.

"Yes! I'd love to be your girlfriend Taylor!" She said cheerfully.

I laughed.

Then Shawn came in.....
