We finally reach the helicopter. What Valkarine did back there. To the guard... she is definitely different. And more important than I anticipated. I can now see why the Network wanted to rescue her. I Slowly lift her off the ground and help her into the helicopter. She's shaking. Uncontrollably. As she gets into the copter I look back. The roof is full of smoke and the red siren light is flashing on and off inside. We really made a mess of this place. I guess I won't be going back undercover anytime soon. I hear my name and see Milo giving me his hand to help pull me in. Very like him to find a mission spot near me. I grab his hand and pull myself into the helicopter. I look over to the pilot seat and see a rebellion fighter. He smiles at me.

"You made it!" Milo shouts

"Barely", I respond back, showing him the bullet in my shoulder blade.

"Oh, tis but a scratch", he laughs.

I smile back. Milo gives me a hug.

"I knew you would make it," he whispers in my ear.

"well I didn't even know how I was going to make it", I whisper back.

We pull out of the hug and laugh. This undercover thing is finally over. Now onto the next phase.

"I would recommend giving Valakrine a drip, she looks like she's been through a lot already." Milo states.

I look over at her. She is staring out the window shaking uncontrollably.

"She's going to need more than just a drip Milo."

He looks at me. "That is why we are going home," Milo responds.

Home. After so long. I can already see it. The bright colored neon streets. The laughter from the bar across the street. The training room. My bed. I smile.

"Buckle up Romeo and Juliet," Milo shouts as he sits back in the pilot seat. "We are leaving this place."

I slowly walk over to Valkarine and sit next to her. She looks terrified. I buckle up her seat belt and administer her a drip. She looks at me. Such green eyes. I can almost see into her soul.

"where are we going Kaspian?" she asks.

I buckle myself up before saying "My home."

She looks back over at the window. Seeing nothing but the vast forest next to this facility. The nature she so dearely missed. She looks back at me.

"Why did you rescue me?" she asks.

I stare at her for a brief moment before responding. "I... don't know actually... There is something about you that the Network wants to help you with. That's what they do. Help people. Help the unfortunate. The helpless. All I know is whatever it is, your different. As the network doesn't just send anyone in to rescue anyone or anything. You have something that you don't know you have. And judging from the rescue mission. The something that you do have is important."

"The network... I've heard that name before."

"I'm sure you have. The network started about 13 years ago. Consisting of a group of individuals prized in making sure everyone on this planet is treated fairly no matter their differences. Kind of like a human rights group. Just with... more than just 'humans' involved. Overtime the other parties within the government were fed up with these 'special' humans. Mutants as they called them. They didn't like how they had abilities and traits that normal humans didn't have. So, they started bringing in strict laws. The Network was always trying to fight these new laws. Not giving up as they thoroughly believed in the fair rights of all species. But in the end, the other governmental parties won, leaving mutants with no basic equal rights at all. They became hunted down like animals. Prey to be experimented on. Riots broke out across the globe. But the people in power didn't like to have their power in jeopardy. So, they ignored the riots. Tried to brainwash and manipulate the population as much as they could about the evils and dangers of mutants. They made up stories and fake statistics. Showed the world a fake side to what they were doing to the captured mutants. The Network eventually had the leave the governments hands and become their own thing. They gathered rebellious fighters and people who weren't yet brainwashed. People united together within the Network with a cause to fight for. This meant a Civil war came into existence against the Network and the government."

So... that's why my family was killed, and I was captured. All because they think I'm a Mutant? Because they want to experiment on me?"

I nod at her.

She slowly looks away from me and at her fists. Still ripped open from the impact of her punches.

"Kaspian..."

"ye... yeah."

"How did I hurt that guard? If im a mutant, does that mean im a monster...?"

"Monster...pshhh. Maybe to them now. But to me... Far from it. Like I said, you saved me. Whatever is special about you, we will find out. We will learn how you hurt that guard like you did and help train you with the ability to control it. As by the looks of things. You know how to fight. Just not how to control your emotions."

She looks back out the window. Whatever is with the girl, I will help her. She is too pure to of been through this. I will not rest in till the government pays for what they did. What they are still doing. Especially to Valkarine. I look over to Milo who is in the other pilot seat. We boys have been trained for every scenario. Hence why he can fly this chopper. I hope the network lets us stay with this girl. We would make a good team. She can already fight. She just needs more training to control herself when fighting. To have a clear mind. As well as find out what's so special about her. I look over to her again. She is trying to stay awake. I pull her over to me and let her lay on my shoulder. She falls asleep instantly. Three more hours and we will be back home safe
