"Ugh! Tate! Alam mo namang allergic ako sa Physics eh! Full force sa defense ang utak ko kapag may Physics lesson kami. Ayaw magpapasok ng lessons sa physics ang utak ko, conditioned na!"
It was definitely a cold, and random night in February as Vivian clutched her bag nearer to hug it as she tried to shield herself from the coldness brought by the air-conditioner in front of her. Even before they started the drive, she was already irritated because of the cold wind brought by the air-conditioner. Especially to someone wearing a red dress as if she's going to Jollibee to endorse their food. You can add that person's light makeup, and her stilettos. Definitely a normal person going on a date at a random night in February.
She looked outside and immediately, her face twitched in annoyance as she saw an endless line of red lights emitted by the lights from an endless line of cars stuck in traffic. She was even more annoyed when she can practically hear the sound of horns from the cars, as if they're trying to shout at the car in front of them. Which is completely impractical! They're literally stuck in the traffic, how are they supposed to pass one another when the car in front of them is literally stuck in traffic too!
"Seriously! Ugh! Metro Manila, when are you gonna improve?!" Vivian screamed inside the car making Tate flinch in his seat as he drives. "What is it this time, Vivian? Tapos wag ka ngang bigla biglang sumisigaw, jusko po, kung nasa laboratory ako ng university ngayon nabasag ko na yung hinahawakan kong apparatus." Tate said as he acted like he had a really great shock with his hand on his chest. "OA tayo, Tate?" Vivian said and jokingly rolled her eyes making Tate laugh.
"Ano bang kinabi-bwisitan mo dyan? kanina Physics lang tapos ngayon naman Metro Manila." Tate asked and looked ahead. Vivian is a really different girl. One second, she's as sweet and kind as a combined version of Olaf, then the next she's naive and cute like that chicken in Moana.... and Olaf. Then she'd suddenly get energetic like that tiny dragon in Mulan, Tate doesn't really know those characters. Then the most frequent mood swing he encountered was the mad and irritated Vivian. Like every villain in the Disney movies Vivian made him watch at her apartment.
A while ago, they're just sweet and Vivian asked him how his work was so he told her that he instructed a Physics lesson to his Chemistry class, because of some unknown reasons. Maybe because he wanted the students to at least appreciate different branches of science. Then Vivian just complained how Physics subject almost failed her before when she was a student so he presented to teach her then she just screamed again. And now, she's irritated at Metro Manila.
It doesn't matter, though. He loves her.
"Tignan mo naman kasi, Tate! Ang traffic!" She said and pointed at the traffic as if it were someone who bullied her at school. "But we're not affected by it." Tate answered her and looked below the bridge where it seems as if an endless line of cars were parked and some barely moved. "Kahit na, Tate! Ang hassle kaya kahit tinitignan ko palang." Vivian said and pouted. Seems like she's really sad because of that. "Kainis kasi na--" Before Vivian was able to said that, Tate already stopped her.
"Don't blame the government." Tate said.
"Wala naman akong balak sabihin yun ah, sasabihin ko sana kainis kasi ang congested ng Manila. Pero sige pwede na rin yan na rason." Vivian said then sheepishly smiled. She was still looking at the traffic when the cold air blew in front of her and she shivered from coldness. She hugged herself and scolded herself why she wore a sleeveless dress. She could've worn a long-sleeved shirt or a button up like Tate but no, she just picked the first thing she can get at her closet, which is the one she's currently wearing.
"Ang lamig!" She shouted and once again, Tate flinched and almost curved the steering wheel. Both of them were shocked when the car swayed a bit but Tate was quick enough to fix the car's direction and Tate just sighed in relief. Tate should be annoyed or irritated at Vivian because of what she did but Tate was already aware of her sudden shouting, so he just let it pass by. But he was a bit worried. He just got the car painted two weeks ago. He looked at Vivian and he saw that apologetic smile that never fails to make his heart fluster. "Sorry, Tate." She said, a bit sad.
