The Lifesaver or The Heartbreaker?

Chapter 8

(Alexis)

“You did WHAT?” Anna and Melanie asked me in unison. I just laughed after seeing their expressions. However, they didn't laugh, but just stayed with their mouth open.

“You know when people unite their lips and share the saliva, it's called a kiss.” I said with a smirk on my face. They just hit my arm playfully. Well, sarcasm is my second name, ladies.

Right now we were sitting on the floor of my bedroom. The girls at first planned to have a sleepover at my house, but then Thomas called Melanie and asked her out for dinner. She wanted to refuse at first because of the plans we had, but Anna and I convinced her to go as we knew she wanted to go very badly. So, we were helping her with her make up, hair and all that stuff. After we were done, she looked so beautiful. I am sure Thomas will fall over after seeing her.

“Oh my God, you look so perfect!” Anna squealed jumping with a joy.

“Are you sure? Do you think Thomas will like it?” Melanie asked after turning around before the mirror to get the better look. Is it something wrong with that girl?

“Hey, Melanie, look at me.” She slowly turned around to face me. “You look gorgeous and don't doubt that for a second. You don't need any make up or dress to make an impression on Thomas, because you already have this boy on the palm of your hand without even trying.” I saw a strand of her red hair falling on her face. I tucked it behind her ear. “Don't let anyone say that you aren't good enough, because you are. And if they don't see it, well they are too stupid to even waste a minute of your time on them. Do you get it, princess?” I asked looking right straight in to her hazel eyes which were wet with tears.

“Thank you so much, Alexis.” She said while hugging me. I smiled and hugged her back. I mouthed to Anna to join in and we had a big BURRITO hug.

After thirty minutes or so, it was only me and Anna. As I said, Thomas was drooling over Melanie and could not speak properly either. Poor boy, too much perfection for him. Anna and I decided to watch a film and we agreed on “Other Woman”. Seriously, this film was hilarious and we were laughing during the entire film. Once it was over, we decided to take a shower and gossip a little bit until we fell asleep. Anna was taking a shower, while I prepared us something to eat. That was when I heard the sound of a door closing. It must be Aaron. He called me earlier to say that he was hanging out with his friends. My father went on a business trip for two days, so I used this as a chance to have a sleep over. I know that I am the badass.

“Aaron?” I called out, but there were no answer. Maybe he didn't hear me.

That was when I heard Anna's scream and Aaron's mumbles like “I am so sorry”. I went upstairs to check what was going on there. When I arrived I saw Aaron´s bright red Aaron's face looking guilty.

“What's going on?” As soon as he heard my voice, Aaron looked up at me with those eyes as if he saw the solution to the biggest problem in his life in me. I just raised my eyebrow.

“I thought you were in there, so I just entered and there was a girl completely naked. When she saw me she screamed and I was so confused, I didn't know what to do, so I just...” He was saying it so quickly that I hardly could catch up. I have never seen him so nervous before.
