"kk can you 2top that? ii'm tryiing to-"

"YEAH YEAH, FOCUS ON YOUR STUPID CODING I GET IT." Karkat grumbled, as he heard the annoying typing sounds begin all over again.

It was another day on Alternia and Karkat decided to go over his Matesprits hive to hang out. But of course, he was on his stupid husktop typing away. It's been almost a sweep since they've been together and sure it was great at first. They would do those stupid cliche things in the Romcoms he forced Sollux to watch with him. He said he hated watching them, but Karkat knew he had warmed up to them by now. Both of them would be on the brink of tears at the sad parts, and they would hold each other for comfort. Karkat missed those times, back when he would actually snuggle him in that warm blanket, back when he would actually pay attention to him.

Karkat looked down at the floor, slightly stained here and there with mind honey. He felt an unpleasant cold shiver run down his spine, missing the warmth Sollux would give him before. Before Sollux got bored with him. Now it just felt like an endless, cold and empty feeling in his heart. His fingers began to tighten around the sofa cushion as he held back the tears. He was tired of this, and he needed to know.

"SOLLUX.."

*type type type*

"SOLLUX LOOK I GET THAT CODING OR WHATEVER IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO YOU, BUT DON'T YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A MATESPRIT. THAT'S ME. BUT LATELY YOU'VE BEEN SO UTTERLY ENGROSSED IN YOUR FUCKING SHIT THAT IT FEELS LIKE I DON'T EVEN EXIST TO YOU AND- BASICALLY WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS.. WELL IF YOu even want to be in this relationship anymore.." the words slowly started to strip down from his usually loud voice to a weak whisper.

The typing noises suddenly stopped, and there was a long moment of silence. Karkat was still staring at the floor not wanting to meet his eyes. He was scared what he would see. He wouldn't respond, and Karkat just shook his head.

"YOU KNOW WHAT NEVER MIND STUPID QUESTION.. I'M JUST GOING TO LEAVE I...I NEED TO DO SOMETHING."he made sure he had everything and was already opening the door, when something slammed it shut. In a surprised state he slowly took a glance and saw Sollux with his hand on the door and his head down. Karkat looked at away, and the tears began to form but he refused to let them fall. There was another moment of silence, until Sollux pressed Karkat against the door.

"what make2 you even thiink that ii want to end thii2." he was staring at him straight in the eye, and that's when he saw Karkat's tired watery eyes.

" WELL IN CASE YOU DIDN'T REALIZE, THIS PAST WEEK YOU'VE BEEN ON YOUR COMPUTER NONSTOP WITHOUT EVEN TAKING A GLANCE AT ..ANYONE. IT MAKES ME WONDER IF YOU EVEN CARE ANYMORE"

"of cour2e ii care!" He let out a long sigh and pressed his head against Karkats.

"ii care 2o much about you." he leaned in and pecked his lips, and for a split second Karkat felt that warmth. The same warmth he felt when they would snuggle up on the couch. Some tears began to fall and Sollux wiped them away. Looking at each other they both leaned in and locked lips. Karkat slowly wrapped his arms around Sollux's neck and ran his fingers through his hair. Sollux pressed him up against the door making them even closer than before. He slowly slipped his forked tongue out and Karkat gladly opened his mouth in response. Their tongues began to wrestle with each other, and Sollux ended being the dominant, which led them to just massage each other enjoying how the other tasted. Sollux then picked up his matesprit and carried him to the couch, carefully laying him down. After some time, they both ran out of air and broke away. Slightly panting they snuggled up to each other and just stared at each other lovingly as if they knew what the other was thinking. It was just like before and they both loved it. After some time Karkat was getting tired and began to fall asleep. Before slipping into his dream self he heard Sollux whisper

"I love you." which left a smile on his face.

'I love you too Sollux' he thought.
