(Note: Inspired by my novel Not All Ravens Have Black Feathers)
You can try if you can
Run to another land
Fight me if you will
Defeat'll take your soul
You seem to think
That your mind is free
But I hate to say
Nothing stops destiny
Oh, you can run
And you can hide
Yet nothing will stop
The monster inside
Now here we stand
It's us or them
Just try to flee
It's you or me
I am the monster in the night
Giving the evil endless fright
You can run from your fate
But it will just be too late
And although you'll try
To suppress my cry
In the end, you'll have to choose
And to beat me is to lose.
