Arianna's P.O.V
We left the room. I gripped tightly onto Harrys arm, Partly because I couldn't walk on my own but mainly because I ws shitting myself, I mean who knows what's going to happen outside.
"Wait!" I shouted, Harry stopped about three feet from the door. "Grab the first aid box and a piece of glass.... we don't know what's going to happen now" He looked at me funnily but went back into the room anyway. I stood where I was and watched Harry.
I thought I heard a sound coming from the opposite direction. I jolted my head around to see where it came from. I couldn't see anything.
Suddenly There was a loud bang and the door slammed shut by its own accord. Harry was still inside.
"HARRY! HARRY!" I screamed and banged on the metal door. "What happened?!" I heard Harrys deep voice shout from the other side. "I don't know, I looked away for a second and the door closed!" I started to cry. again. Seriously, I don't think I have ever cried so much in my entire life!
"Are you okay?" He shouted back. "I guess, what about you?" I asked him. "I'm fine just as long as your safe!" He sounded so sincere.
"look, there's a glass pannel at the top of the door, Have a look around to see if there's anything we can smash it with" I looked up and surley enough there was. I Saw Harry try to peer out of the glass but He wasn't tall enough, You could just see the top of his chocolate curls.
I let go of the wall and limped around the room, well it was more dragging my leg across the floor rather than limping. I cried as seering pain ran through my leg making me feel physically sick. "What's out there?!" I heard Harry's muffled voice call out. I leant against a pillar, black dots blurred my vision as the blood rushed from my head making me feel light headed. "Erm..." I called back and squinted my eyes trying to see my surroundings but the room was spinning.
I felt a burning sensation in my throat and I knew I was going to throw up. I buckled over and let all the hot liquid spew from my mouth.
Once I felt that I had rid my stomach of it all I stood up straight and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and took a deep breath. "Are you okay? What happened?" Harry asked worridley.
"I.... I was sick... I feel really..." My words were slurred and I felt really dizzy. I felt as though I was about to throw up again. "Arianna? What's wrong?!" Harry started to really panic now. I opened my my mouth to try and talk to him but before I knew it I was falling to the dirty stone floor.
Harry's P.O.V
"Arianna?!" I shouted her name but I got no answer. "This isn't funny, say something!" I felt my heart race pick up at the thought of her being out there. Alone. Injured and helpless. I hammered on the door and repeatedly kicked it hoping that I would somehow find the strength to kick it open, maybe a sudden suge of adrenaline; but no. Nothing. I was too tired and weak to do anything.
I looked up and saw the glass pannel, Maybe if I could somehow break it, I might be able to lift myself up and fit through it. It looked big enough for me to squeeze through it. But what could I break it with? I looked around the room and saw the laptop. The battery had drained on it so it was of no use to us.
I grabbed it and dragged one of the chairs up to the front of the door. I heaved myself up onto the wooden chair and smashed the laptop into the dusty glass. I saw Arianna lying on the floor, she was so still. I began to think the worst but pushed those sickly thoughts aside and continued to attempt to break the glass.
A large crack appeared in the exact spot I had been hitting. I used whatever strength I had left to finally break the window. I knocked most of the ragged pieces out onto the floor on the other side of the door. I tried to pull myself up to the brink of the newly made hole before remembering why I was in this situation. The first aid box.
I hopped off the chair and opened the small green box. I shoved the small bottle of anticeptic into the pocket of my trousers and grabbed the rest of the thin cotton bandage roll, shoving that into my pocket too.
I took one quick last look to see if anything might come into good use. Before assuring myself that I would be okay with what I had, I got back onto the chair and pulled myself up onto the window frame, Sliding my bare chest across the rotting wood.
I felt a sharp pain in my stomach before realising I hadn't gotten rid of all the glass. I would wait to see if Arianna was okay before attending my own wounds. I was lying on my stomach, My top half on the outside of the door and my legs dangalling over the edge and into the dreary room. I was stuck. The only way I could get down from here was by falling straight towards the floor. I clearly hadn't thought this through.
I decided it was worth the risk so I just closed my eyes and waited for my body to take the impact of the concrete floor. I groaned as I knocked my elbow and my hip on the floor. The drop wasn't as high as it looked so I didn't hurt myself that much. Well that was before I looked at my stomach. There was a single shard of glass protruding out from just above my navel. I bit my lip hard as I slowly inched the glass from my body.It had gone in a lot deeper than I had expected. maybe about three inches or so. I dropped the bloody glass and clutched my stomach, imediatly putting pressure onto my open wound to stop the bleeding.
I then remembered Arianna. I let go of my stomach and ran to her side. I kneeled on the hard floor beside her. I rolled her over so she was lying on her back. She was responsless. I shook her by her shoulders a few times and called her name repeatedly. Nothing.
I had to put my mind at rest so I checked her pulse and gave a sigh of relief as I felt a very weak heart beat. I leant my back against the pillar that she had collapsed against. I knew she was strong, she wouldn't just die here. I needed to rest. I picked up her petite hand in my larger one and slowly rubbed my thumb back and forth on her soft skin. I squeezed it lightly before letting sleep take controll of my body.
