Oh who am I kidding , I've been starring at that mountain as though it will eventually grow wings and fly . If my friends, Jasmin and May were here , I would be having a better day . At this rate I'll start going mad at the amount of thoughts I have running around my fragile head. I need a life.

Let me go and disturb father's reading since he's the closest thing to a friend I have at the moment .

Father and I have the best of time together, I mean we practically spend our days together , save for our alone time , time with friends and study time.

In the small town of Melantia, there has always been a deep comfortable mediocrity to life , I can tell you the entire schedule of the old man living down the road , the people I'll meet Along the road on my walk to my quiet place . Every one lives by the book , and I sure would love to finally see the writer of such a repetitious ' Boring' novelty.

"Father " I called out while rounding the corner to his favorite spot in our cozy little garden

" There goes my bored Nahi " was his response

I squinted my eyes , such a terrible habit for a girl . " can I ask you something ,father? "

"I thought you woke up one day feeling the air so fresh , that you declared a total no disturbance time to oneself for atleast three hours a day " he teased " I'm guessing May and Jazz are nowhere near ?"

" Oh but dad, I just wanted to pick your mind about something i came across while reading my nursing books " I lied . " what makes you think I'm that bored? "

" I know you like the back of my hand nzuri , and besides I do not remember ever mentioning that you're bored " he said with a winning smirk

" My charm is diminishing by the day , you read me like a book " I said slouching in surrender , my tricks fail so dismally these days.

" let me run off to my little home to be creative with my time then , I'll see you later "

" be safe and home by sundown , or else "
" I will ,strong man " I chuckle

I took my side bag and ran along . On weekends , I usually have very little to do and today being a Saturday just proved that quite perfectly .

"Good day Gran , you look younger by the day " I holler to the old man down the street , his name is Mr Adura, one of the oldest people in the little town . But fit as a Fiddle. I probably know every older person here because I major in nursing.

From childhood, I grew up to find this system of classification where when you finish your high school years, there's fields for men and fields for women to further studies .

I always wondered with what measure it was weighed as to who belongs where. As far as I know we are all unique and no classification can accommodate us all .. but who am I to question the ways of the all wise ?

I would have wondered had I arrived at my place without coming across Mason , he's a cute little boy who always has the most craziest questions rolled up his sleeves

"Oh Nahi , are you coming to see me today ? He quipped

"Hello Mason , of course I always have to see the most handsome boy around , isn't it ?

He giggled " you know my mother told me ladies lie to little boys like me ?"

"Well this lady speaks no lies " I smiled at him " you will say I told you so one day "

" I will hold you to that , you know "

I laughed as I continued walking, he's so cute , he will have his fair share of attention in a few years to come .

The small hill had a nice view of the sun set and as you ascended higher , you can see the beautiful , tropical Melantia, there are so many trees and greenery that you can barely make out the houses that are spread across the whole town

I finally reached the top .
