As a child I was always told to think before I speak.  So that I didn't let my emotions get the best of me.  Throughout my adolescent years and into my early twenties I did just that.  I made sure that i kept my mouth shut until i knew exactly what I was going to say.  Due to this,  I was cheer captain in high school, and I was prom queen.  After graduating high school I met George.  He was the most kind, thoughtful, handsome man i'd met.  My mother told me I better snatch him up before someone else does.  So I did just that, I played along with his game,  I did everything I was told by my mother to guarantee my  happiness.

After getting married we moved to the big city.  He got a big corporate job and I became a housewife.  We had a perfect life.  He would go to work everyday, get home around the same time unless he was working late.  But he would call if he was and I believed him, after all what else was I raised to do.  Our morning routine was pretty much the same everyday.  He would wake up, i'd make him breakfast, and he would go to work.  Sometimes a few of my friends would come by and we would have tea and talk about our lives.  All of it seemed amazing,  almost too good to be true.  I always told my husband that I didn't deserve him.  He always reassured me and we would go on with our lives.  It wasn't until one morning after he left for work that I knew I was right.

"I made you breakfast!" I said as he was getting ready.

"I'm already late darling." he replied hesitantly.

"Oh, okay.  I'll just save it for later."

"Hey hun!"  He called out as he was walking out of the door.

"Yes dear?"

"I love you more than there are stars in the sky."

"I love you too."

Ugh!  How foolish i was!  I can't believe I was that stupid to believe him.  After he left i continued cleaning the house, as usual.   Everything seemed fine to me.  Life seemed the same as it always did, perfect.  Little did I know what was walking up to my apartment that very moment.  A knock at the door interrupted my cleaning.

"Hello!  Who is it?"  I called out opening the door.

"Hey babe!  Oh, you must be the maid."  A woman I've never seen before replied startled.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?"  I answered very confused.

"Oh, I'm Amy!  Is George here?"

"No he just went to work.  I'm sorry who are you?  Are you a client or something?"

"No, I'm his girlfriend."

My heart nearly fell out of my body.  A girlfriend, my husband has a girlfriend.  What did I do wrong?  Why, if i did everything right was this happening?  This had to have been a joke or something.  Maybe a long lost crazy ex-girlfriend.  But it didn't seem that way.  At that moment, all i knew was that my husband was cheating on me.  And i wanted revenge.
